Canadian Passport in person timeline

Hello everyone,

I have applied passport in person on 21 June, 2024 at service canada and they gave me date for mailing passport on 24 July, 2024. But I did not receive any tracking number and my application status still shows that we have received you application and now reviewing it. I have called them 2 times but my status of application is still same.

I applied on 6 June at service canada. After complainting, I have received their call and advised my passport would be shipped next week.
You better to call them one more time.

Service Canada gave the date of sept 5 to be mailed out. They did say there is a backlog at passport office and timelines might be longer. This was at the Allen and Lawrence location Service Canada. Wait time was 45 mins around 2pm to be called.

I think you can't get the passport on that period. Currently they have a lot of backlog... for my case, I have not received the new passport after 2 months.

Will report back on this. Also my dad renewed his few weeks ago so will check when he gets his .

Exactly 10 business days!

In around 10am, line up 7 min for reception, then waited a bit, got to see the agent and then out at 10:50am

Finally, I got the Canada post tracking information.
It says Item accepted in Mississauga.
how much time it will take?
will it need sign to accept or they will put in the PO box?

cant wait!

Depends on your location... if post canada have information, you should be able to track as the location updates.

In my opinion, they will probably put in the po box... worst case go pick up at the designated post office.

Hi Did you get it in time?

I applied for express as well and My anticipated pick up date is tomorrow but the status online says they're still reviewing it.
