Congrats! Since you said you had frequent travels, I was wondering with how many days of physical presence did you apply with? Also, was your interview in relation to your travels, and if you have to submit documentations in relations to your travel?

I ask because I have got my Language Skills approved a week ago, but my Physical Presence and Prohibitions are still in progress. I did apply with 1,096 days, so I was expecting additional scrutiny on my application. I had 12 trips after getting PR in October 2022 (while I have been in Canada since 2018), and I have documentations on all travels so I am confident with my physical presence (but ofc if I am wrong, then will just reapply). IRCC have not called me in for an interview, nor asked for passport/stamp pages. So, I am curious if anyone else had something similar happened.

Hi,

I applied with a 15-day buffer. The interview was straightforward; the officer just verified my passport and cross-checked a few travel dates with my application entries. As long as your entry and exit dates are accurate, you should be fine.

Before applying, I requested my travel record and cross-checked it with my own records to ensure accuracy when filling out the physical presence section.

Hi! congrats!
How long did it take to get the passport after the Oath?

When you get the oath and certificate, they usually say you need three business days to go in and apply for passport with the certificate (presumably just to ensure the system is updated - haven't heard of anyone trying before those three days, it's possible it wouldn't be an issue.

Then it's just a function of which passport urgency you choose and pay for. Family members did recently, 10 business days I recall with pick-up (they chose not to use mail given possibility of postal strike). You can get next-day service for extra $$$ and some proof of immediate travel.

Does travel history has lot of delays for citizenship? I have around 28 entry/exit in the evaluation period, but most of them (24) are in US, 3 in India and 1 in Germany. I am applying in mid July when I hit the 1099 day mark. I request entry/exit exact dates from CBSA last month, so should be okay to apply with 4 days of margin? Since IRCC would be using the same database of CBSA from which I received my dates. I am leaving Canada for 2 months in mid July, so wanted to put my application in before leaving, otherwise clock will again reset. Thanks

I applied with 1096 days in early Feb, with a dozen trips, and my application is still pending while others that applied around the same time with much more days have had their application approved.

But it is not "delayed" since it is within the stated IRCC processing time. So with few extra days you would likely also see your application approved later than those that applied at the same time but with more days.

Ultimately it's up to you, but I wouldn't stressed too much about when you apply, since if your days are correct (and other requirements are met) the application should be approved within the stated processing time.
