Thank you for your reply! the second portal basically uses the term visitor visas and it doesn't use the term TRV anywhere, whereas the first one use the term TRV.
Is there anyone in the group who has applied for TRV for a spouse and let me know which portal to use for spousal TRV. A link would be helpful. thanks
A TRV is a visitor visa, no distinction whatsoever in this context. Use the one you were pointed to.

By the way when I applied for trv on May 30th the processing time for Philippines is 28 days. Last week it turned into 31 days. This week it’s 39 days. I guess they are getting a lot of applications. So, I guess that “within 30 days processing” is out of the window now? We will see i’m on my 11th day for now..
Within 30 days was always a goal not a guarantee. Posted processing times are also only estimates and not guarantees

After getting GCMS notes and finding out my file is not in MVO like what the SA said in December. It’s actually in Ottawa IR and secondary office is CIO(Sydney, NS). We were asked ADR in Feb 14, 2023 and on the notes it was’nt even looked at.

I finally went ahead and raise a lot of webform yesterday to MVO and in Canada. Explaining and asking what is going on. I even requested another GCMS note from IRCC and CBSA explaining the situation too and attaching a lot of documents too.

I even mentioned my application for trv for my spouse and dependent and that I attached there same documents I attached in pr application.

When I woke up today(Philippines time) I received webform response confirming they received my email. Eligiblity is finally complete in prtracker and we received the pre arrival service in gckey.

May I ask when did you submit your application? I submitted mine last December 2022, aor received feb 4, 2023. Feb 10 there was an update in the sponsor's tracker saying eligibility is in progress..feb 14 we received adr..sent requested doc same day, feb 14. In the gckey it is still showing that 'we requested additional document...'. Up to now, we haven't received SA, BIL or MR..

I’m a July 2022 applicant. Sponsor’s tracker meaning that update for eligibility is for your sponsor. Took me 5 months to get my SA because according to GCMS notes they check me for government assistance but of course they found nothing. After that got my SA. I resigned in my job and came back after a year in the Philippines.

Of course it’s a case by case basis. My advice is if you feel like your application is not moving normally like other application you have to start taking action pro actively and not just waiting for them.

Start by sending webform and make sure to screenshot every web page(for evidence) then call IRCC call centre and raise this concern. Usually they will flag this concern and the visa officer will get notified.

That's great. May I know what's the situation with your TRV? Also, for your PR application, when did your eligibility start?

Still the same with trv. It has’nt even been touched or opened. If you applied trv via portal you will know what I mean. I’m not sure exactly when but according to ecas eligibility started on Jan. 5. I guess it does’nt matter now who we get approved first trv or spousal as long as I get them.

Well that's strange. I applied through IRCC TRV portal too but for me, I see some progress with eligibility and biometrics done.

My intention was to see if you noticed your eligibility updates in your PR tracker. Or it went directly from "not started" to "Completed". Anyway, it doesn't matter. I think you might be closer to receiving PPR for spousal.

I have biometrics done, medical & eligibility not started & bg check in progress on trv via portal.

I noticed eligibility in progress on prtracker not long after Jan. 5. I can’t be sure though when did it changed from not started to in progress.

Background check changed from not started to in progress on April 19 on prtracker. This is the time my bg check also changes from “we are processing etc etc” to “na” in gckey. I knew this becuase I always check prtracker, gckey and ecas one after another.

Man....in the face of this pressure and stress and patience...and frustration, i guess harmless joke / fun...is medicinal.

Wow. GU's already in play for TRV. Let's hope the applicants hear the good news. I hope they start delivering it in less than 30 days (including visa on passport......i know im wishing for the moon).
