Hello, awesome people,

While visiting Canada on TRV my spouse visited a hospital urgent care unit twice on two consequent days. One day, she waited for a long time and decided to leave. She came back the next day and waited until she was attended to. The hospital billed her for the two visits. We are negotiating with the hospital to pay for the day she received the actual service. They are not accepting and will send the debt to collection. Now, my spouse's PR application is being processed. Would this debt sent to collection affect her PR application in any way? Would it affect the Background check or eligibility?

Thank you.

Debt sent to collections wont affect her PR application in any way. Good Luck

When it comes to PR applications, debts sent to collections can sometimes have an impact, especially if they show up on a credit report, as they may be seen during the background check process. However, it seems like you’re already in negotiations with the hospital, which is great—keeping track of those communications might help. I had a similar experience with an issue that went to a debt collection agency Manchester, and I was able to work out a payment plan that kept things from affecting my credit. If you’re proactive about resolving it, it might not cause as much of an issue.
Manchester England ? Debts in Canada don’t affect sponsorship applications lol ..
