Well, don't know what to say about immigration service which we all have to suffer at this point. Seem like our life is in control of politics. Worst call agent service as well.
If they can't give you the right answer what are they doing there then.

MP can't do anything ,lawyer can't help us . Who should we go to next ????
What the hell is going on with the system. Even though the citizen of this country are not happy with immigration system. This government is putting everything on side and serving refugees first.
Can they not hire more staff and get everything done in time?

Yes thats too much, and still they have no plan to complete our applications sooner. Because now agents are saying 21 months very soon you will see on the website it will show 21 months time.
When I called He even didnt open my file said, wait for few minutes let me check the time. Then he said it did not show up on the website but it is actually 21 months now we will be post this on website very sooner. Hope this is wrong.

I am not sure about how US immigration compares to Canada, can't judge if Canada's the worst until I know how it works in the US. Canada's might not be the worst but certainly pretty close to the bottom.

It would be nice if they would put EE on hold and focus on CEC2014 exclusively for the next 2 months, who knows they might just complete the entire backlog...

Hey guys and gals

I don't think it's so bad overall, it's just terrible for non-EE applicants.

I don't know too much about other countries inmigration services but I'm sure this isn't the worse.

But for old pre-EE is really bad, this delayed is creating a lot of problems to everybody.

I guess resources were transfered to EE to get the 6 months processing time (mine was less than 4 moths, I'm happy with CIC about it but disappointed about old CEC, of course).

If August guys are getting MR 17 months after apply, for sure we can't expect to get PR in less than 21-24 months at least.

If someone can go to EE should think about it, otherwise just wait and keep calm, applications will be processed someday

No need to put on hold the whole EE, just use some officers for old applications.

But this will not gonna happen, as their full intentions is to work on EE and for that they are increasing our time. They can easily finished our files like EE, but their intention is clear they want to work on EE more closely. And we have to wait.

DONT NOT LISTEN TO CIC HELPLINE STAFF . THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON. Absolutely no idea.

Remember during the week those customer care were saying yes absolutely that is a legitimate payment request...then two hours later oh ya its a mistake.

As I have said before and I will say it again we need to protest , protest and protest especially outside John Mccallums office

There are something you're forgetting about:
If old 2014 CEC were processed normally, we wouldn't need to re-appy to EE in the first place, let alone the spending on application fees, spending on time, and taking overall stress. Even when EE works I blame CIC for the overall delay and I think CIC is bad.

Yea I would agree that this has to be the worst immigration system in the entire world. Seems like nobody in CIC knows what they are doing. And what's scary is that these idiots make mistakes all the time, and our future are in their hands. It makes me uncomfortable knowing that my fate and future in Canada is solely decided by one person sitting in a comfy office in Ottawa.

Go check out the glassdoor.ca CIC employees' reviews and you will see that some of the employees have admitted that the work environment there is "slow pace" and "laidback" with good benefits. And they also hire a lot of students as casual employees. This is proof that they are lazy and taking their own sweet time with our files. CIC makes me sick!

Mostly Agreed.

13 moths was processing times when I applied so PR should be getting October 2015, let say November.

I suppose is an Budget and organizational issue, basically CIC is using he same resources but are focused in EE.

Nothing to say you all well know, it's a nightmare for people awaiting but I'm afraid we can't do nothing about it. (Except apply to EE, if posssible)

I dont understand why we should apply re in EE . We have paid fee for IELTS , Police clearence certificates, and Intial Fee$ 500. We have other things to do such as our personal life , work life to survive . We cant just re do all these documents. Our mind is always stuck in the shity process. If they are promising to finish EE in 6 month why they could not CEC old app in 12 months?
Which they have committed like EE . Where is the justice guys ?? I guess they should put thoese homeless people to in their office at least they can help the staff. Shame on the system their own people are facing so many problems and they are trying the fixing other country people.

At least they should be clear about what is causing the delay ?They know we do not have human rights to say or speak against them,
