Based on ur exp especially with canadian immigration, is is normal for them to take more than usual time to process? I mean there might be some limits right for them? As somebody will be monitoring vo time taken to process. Some. Mile stones for the vo like for e.g any application will be finalized no later than 2 x avarage processing time of the embassy.

Hi Mr. Rajaryan, since delay in processing is an individual issue, we can check out if we are facing situation which might fall into their website mention factors for delays in processing which I copy below:

Some applications take longer to process for various reasons. The following factors could delay the processing of your application:

•incomplete applications
•needing a medical exam (additional 2-4 weeks from the date of the medical exam if no complications arise, such as the need for further testing)
•requiring background or security checks
•having a criminal record
•needing an interview
•documents that need to be verified
•other factors that complicate your case.

Applications are dealt with in the order in which they are received.

They did not mention anything about the maximum time they will finalized any questionable application but every process will have results that will be relayed to the respective applicants. Sad to say that this matter lies only to the VO who is handling our case.

regarding the passport I asked the Embassy before I apply. The visa section told me that you submit your application with other documents and explain the reason not to submit my passport and when they need passport they will send me a message on my mobile.

Wow, Thank you for this information Mr. Hasho!
I guess even though CIC-Riyadh Checklist emphasizes that they will not remind you to send your passport, VO's has some leeways to make sure applicants are properly processed by contacting them to send their passport.

This is a very good information, Thanks indeed!

thanks for the reply. another question, what proof of funds did you attach with your application?

@cjjc23,

I submitted 6 months of bank statements. The proof of funds will support evidence that once you finished your contract you will have a good chance of getting employed elsewhere. This is just my opinion.

elow agen is it okay if il be getting a saudi police clearance ahead? im still planning to submit my application papers this feb or march before leaving for my vacation to phils in april. I have already a saudi police clearance since may 2012 through phil embassy but im not sure if its still valid. Im thinking of requesting it agen through phil embassy since were going to khobar this jan 10 for the embassy on wheels so that il be passing it already together with the rest of my documents. Or i really have to wait for the canadian embassy to evaluate my papers before getting a saudi police clearance?......thanks....//

Hi Egay,

For you to have a good idea on what has to be done on your application, you have to download the LICP CIC-Riyadh Checklist and see what should be submitted with your application package. Police Clearance, yes u can get it again, but treat this as an optional investment to your Canadian dream. If you are going to look back for LICP average procesing time, this could take up to 12 months.
Again Here are the helpful link for you to check out:

thanks! Is there any amount required in the bank statement?

No specific amount. You show them what you have in your account. You are not going to Canada on an Investor visa.

@bugoy
I will submit my bank account in the Philippines. Will CIC accept that?

Any bank statements as long as they are updated and active will do. Your bank statements here in Saudi Arabia will state how much income you are getting on a monthly basis and will provide proof that you are employable after your contract in Canada.

guys..
one more week over :(
No updates from the Embassy ...

I am repeating my question. Would anybody PLEASE tell me if embassy actually put some kind of mark on the passport upon approval of the application. Any stamp, or endorsement or some kind of visa writing??????????? Or they just see it authenticity and simply return it.

@smak

The embassy will indeed put a physical stamp in ur passport i think the W1 Type visa on ur passports. U need to have a minimum 1 complete blank page in ur passport for the same. That is why ur passports are required.
hope this helps u.
