Yes directly to Warsaw.

À question for those that have got the DM - does it show up in both gckey and ecas, or just ecas?

in my case ecas was updated the next day...whilst gckey is still pending

Does anyone know how the process works for sending the passport to Warsaw from Russia?

Warsaw VO asks for a "prepaid courier waybill" and we're having trouble figuring out how to do it and which company can handle it.

Has anyone successfully gone through this process and can guide us?

I do not have the answer but you might consider asking at the Russian Post. The EMS service is international (some kind of consortium of the national posts) and I've used instead of courier internationally. As the various national posts have payment systems worked out, it wouldn't surprise me if they had a solution.

I personally wouldn’t trust «Почта России». They reasonably have a bad reputation. I usually use PonyExpress, it’s a really responsible company.

We called Pony Express but unfortunately, they can only send to Warsaw but cannot send from Warsaw back to Russia. I know ... strange.

Don't want to defend the post but it is a lot better than it used to be and for some high end services like international, reasonably priced and reliable. (I prefer pony express and others as well, but DHL and UPS etc have really spotty and overpriced service for some things in Russia).

We are using DHL. you have to prepay the return label as well.

Contact DHL directly, When you bring your passport, they'll include an airway bill for the return. Warsaw will then use it to mail your passport back to you.
