Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Dear All,

Below is my timeline:

Landed in Canada - Toronto Pearson Airport on Jan 22, 2016
Returned back to UK - Jan 30, 2016
PRC Photo Request letter - March 15, 2016

One of the photo requirement is to provide the studio address and contact details.
Since I'm in UK, can I send a soft copy to my friend in Canada so that he can take photo prints from a Canadian studio and mail it to CIC.

Anyone in similar situation ? Please advise

Called CIC after 6 weeks and they said its still in process and you dont need to provide any new photographs or anything.

I just got the mail from CIC requesting resubmit photos. However, I already sent a month ago by courier. The address on the mail is different from where I sent. Do I need to re-send? Or just ignore as mentioned at the bottom of the letter that can ignore if already re-submitted...Croxx my finger

Yes. The specification is as below:

50 mm wide X 70 mm high (2 inches wide x 2- 3/4 inches long) and sized so the height of the face measures between 31 mm (1- 1/4 inches) and 36 mm (1- 7/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head).

I suppose that email is a general link they send to anyone who calls the Call center.
In the letter you will have your personal info with application number. It is mentioned in the letter : send this letter with the photos to avoid delay.

If it was me, I would send the photos again with their letter attached (In their own envelope but with express post) and with a cover letter saying the situation. I wouldn't risk waiting for a month and receive the photo request letter again ! depends on you and your rush !

They received the photos on 10 Feb. I called them on 25 Feb and they said it was sent to production. Of what I know, after CIC receive the photos, one gets the card in 4-6 weeks after that.

I do not think you need to send it again. If you even write on the pohto your name and date of birth and you on the IMM form your landing date. These three information will be enough to drag your file.. Goodluck
