Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Dear Quink..
According to my estimate, you will receive card today, reason you both, Takhan nd you, got email from CIC about receipt of your application on December 1, later on Takhan reported that his card was dispatched on Dec 04 and finally it was landed in his mailbox on December 10. So my gut feelings says that the only gap between you and Takhan is due to destination time. CIC sent mail just as a reminder only after starting processing on your file. (i am not certain just my guess work)

I never got the email though, so it will be interesting to see what happens. I'm in Vancouver so I guess it's about as far away as Canada Post will have to deliver, so extra days is not unexpected.

I also landed on sept 30 and I recd email for my wife (not me and I am PA) on dec 1 but no cards yet. Hopefully will get next week.

i called CIC on 6th Dec 2015 and I was informed that my PR Card has been despatched on 4th from NS sydney and to my utter surprise I received my PR Card on 10th Dec 2015. I landed on 22 August 2015 at Fort Erie but was asked in Oct for retake photo submission. I posted retake foto with copy of COPR on 22 October 2015. I am glad to receive PR card in new shape as my card is printed on 2md Dec 2015 and as per CIC new version of PR card has been started printing from 15 Nov 2015. I wish all of members waiting for PR card to get the same at the earliest.

Just to inform you all that my PR card is the new PR chip card and it looks awesome. It does not have chip but do have my photo on a small laminating water mark with my initial name underneath beside my big picture on the left hand side. Can't describe it properly as it is a new types of cad that I haven't seen before.
Being able to login with COPR does not really mean anything I guess as because I received my PR card and I still can't log in with copr number. The thing is, don't try to research on how CIC works coz they have their own way of doing things which does not follow any logical explanation.

Can I ask you if your PR Card number is in any way related to another number you already had? Or is it a whole new number? Reason I ask is because I'm waiting to apply for a Nexus card and all I need is the PR Card number to complete the application.

Also, if you were able to obscure your personal details and photo somehow I'd love to see a picture of it uploaded. Up to you though - I understand if you don't feel comfortable doing that.

Hi Mr Takhan is correct I hav e also received PR Casrd printed on 02 Dec 2015 and carries additional photo on three place one is on left side another small photo transparent from back too and third is very tiny pic in the silver seal and is visible only when you penetrate and move the seal. Further on front in the begining of card date of birth is also visible. Sofar as number is concerned this PR card only give you your client ID number and even COPR number is not given and on the back of card detail of landing and date of landing is written and now where the class of immigration vize PNP, Family or student has been written I have seen in the CIC website that new card has been started printing from 15 of Nov 2015

CIC didn't ask me to retake photo as i have submitted the right photo which specification was mentioned when i sent my passport for visa stamping. If you send the right specification photo they will never ask for another photo. It is your responsibility to provide the right photo with right spec.

Congrats for receiving ur PR Card....My Card was printed on 2nd November and it's the same as the Card as you're describing...A 2nd small picture with name and DOB overlaid on the right...If this is the new format, then they started printing from November itself....There's no chip...

Guys, do your cards look like this?

If so, it's the old version I think. One thing I remember reading is that they've removed the immigration category from the new cards, so if you have the category listed then it's not the new type of card.
