The only significance is that someone is accessing your file. Whether progress is being made is totally unknown, but at least you're not being ignored.

Alhamdulillah, received my PR card just today. I am leaving tomorrow so it arrived just on time.

You press 888-242-2100? As I have my Canada local mobile number , and I diverted to SINGAPORE mobile number , and I called many time but can't call. Like always busy. May be something is wrong.

Did you call from inside Canada. When is the best time to call (local time around when ? Around afternoon like 2 or 3 pm?) Please let me know. Thanks.

I called them 3 times, first time they told me to wait until 06 Dec, and then 12 Dec, and now 26 Dec..

Try calling 5:00 am Vancouver time. It will be 8:00 am in Sydney NS and you might be able to get through. I called three times, was able to get through each time.

Secondly, the processing time has gone up to 71 days as of Dec 05. Add 2 weeks for delivery and you will still be within the delays. I would advise you to wait another week before calling because they will give you an estimate of around Christmas or start of Jan if you call now.

I think if you are a new PR, you can not track PR card application in ECAS as far as I know.

Thanks for posting this. This is the first time I've seen evidence that this actually happens.

I still can't believe how unbelievably bad ECAS is - no consistency and out of date information. All we want as applicants is to be kept informed and have something we can refer to so we don't have to worry. It's really terrible service from CIC to not be able to provide this on a reliable basis.

On another note, I didn't get anything in my mailbox when I got home tonight, so the waiting game continues.
