No it won't delay it . If you had to wait till they sent for new photos and return new photos then it would be delayed ... No Pr CARD IN MAIL TODAY

I would say the officer saved you some time.

I was silly to think the waiting and delays were over once landed; landed December 20th and received a request for new pictures March 21st .. I guess they don't have scissors to make a couple of adjustments lol ... anywho we sent the photos and we wait. Heading on a holiday April 29th here's hoping the airlines don't have any issues without an ETA

I called the calling centre many times, they can confirm they have received the photos but cannot tell if the card is in production.

Same here sent them new photos on March 11th and they got it on 17th. Call center guy won't confirm if they received it or not.

I am wondering if it would make sense to apply for a new PR card at this point.

New PRs are getting their cards in 45 days, and renewing PRs are getting their cards in a 85 days.

Instead of waiting another 200+ days I think I'll just apply for a renewal.

You would need the number on the old PRC I believe, to apply for a renewal.

Maybe take a road trip to Sydney and stand outside the PRC building with a big sign and a puppy, a maple leaf and a hockey mask, sipping maple syrup with a straw, with the words: "I love Canada...now, where's my f'n PRC"?!

Landed Dec 24 2015 (Douglas, "Peace Arch" BC )
I got request for new photo. Mar 16 2016
131 days since landing

Now my question is, Is this normal? I mean I have been waiting since Dec for my PR card, and in March I get hit with a new photo request by mail. Is there anyone with similar timelines?
Its funny you think the process is over once you land, but truly there is way more to the process once your here Sad
