If it is recommended pass, I guess second level office could still spot check and say no?
That can happen, but with a very low likelihood! So, my whole point is that they have some basis (even though its a partial yes)before sending an MR..

How Long it takes For your ecas to update after medicals are done??
We did our medicals around 2 months ago(A week less than that actually) but so far havn't heard anything back ecas still doesn't show it has been updated .We are worried now.

Email CIC for confirmation. ECAS may take a while.

How can I do that?
Do they actually reply to the emails? and at what email should I write to them?

I applied under the PNP category and always used the following email address (it may be different for the Skilled Worker Category - fellow forum members should be able to shed some light on this): OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca

They responded to 2 out of my 3 total emails within 3 days. 1 of the 3 was answered after 19 days (I should note that this particular email posed 3 questions regarding some very specific information, therefore, the longer response time was well warranted). In summary, there is no set timeline for CIC responses.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you put your information in the subject line ("Application for permanent residence request ‐ EP0005xxxx"). Also, start the email by stating your full name, list your file number (again), and state your concern in precise and short language.

Finally, please keep in mind that the ECAS System has been found to be EXTREMELY inaccurate. There are numerous forum members (including myself) whose ECAS was never updated properly. Mine, for instance, said 'Medicals Received' on the same day on which my lawyer received my COPR documents in the mail. Notwithstanding, I believe that your question should definitely be posed to CIC since I have read numerous accounts of applicants' medical information being sent to CIC and never actually processed and/or received properly.

You shouldn't feel too anxious regarding the lack of ECAS updates to your file... it may simply be an officer that reviewed your medical results and didn't feel like updating the ECAS appropriately (I assume that each officer working on an applicant's file has to voluntarily and manually enter any updates to the ECAS system. As a result, and not particularly surprising, the ECAS System is one of the most unreliable sources for the specific status of an application).

Another important factor to consider is if you went to a Doctor that utilized the rather new "E-Medical" system. Either way, before you send your email to CIC, you should speak to your Doctor and ask specific information regarding your results. Did they send the results using mail that was trackable? Was it received by CIC based on the tracking information? If sent electronically using the E-Medical system, request to have them provide you with verification of the same - not too much to ask when considering the exorbitant prices most medical offices charge for this particular service.

gianetti22 and lolita22, you both are now in the table.

Looks like no PPRs this week at all ???

Also, please keep in mind that the immigration officers simply want to process you and get you out of their building. If you answer "Yes" to a simple Motor Vehicle Act conviction and inundate them with paperwork, it may actually motivate them to push you out the door even faster. This is just my personal opinion....

======================================================================================

Thanks a lot Slingshot_fuel..

I did my landing today and she asked me the same question regarding criminal or any offense.. I told her the truth and she told the traffic convictions are fine. She asked "you are not arrested or went to jail right?" I told "no"..she told then it is ok and nothing to worry. It took 15-20 mins only...

All was good and thanks for your help....

Just read a PPR in the forum (yahoo7). Hope this is the beginning of a new wave of PPRs :D

Wishing you all, Good Luck

Yes...it's the fact.
I did check with COIC on multiple instances, and get the same old "Your application is in progress. An officer will be...." as their reply.

But my GCMS gave me some hope. My last GCMS (which I got in June), says the following;
Assessments
Eligibility: Passed
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed
Final : Approved.

And the paper file location says : PR Printing. But all these are there since May 2013, and no updated communications yet.

Waiting patiently...

Did you try contacting local MP on this ?

Contacted through his website and then emails, but no response. Planning to get a direct appointment after the long weekend.
