Hello everyone,
I am visiting the forum back after quite a few weeks........I had my PPR on 8th July.......My spouse n child's passports were in India......One of our friend carried them over here....and I mailed them to Ottawa on 30th of July..... when I tracked the Xpresspost today....... I found that they have received my package....
Here is a sample for the notarized Passport authorization letter that we gave to our friend with the passports.....one of each member's passport

TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN
RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR SENDING INDIAN PASSPORT NO : xxxxxxxxxxx ( IN ORIGINAL) OUTSIDE INDIA
I, xxx hereby appoint ABC XYZ as my Representative to carry my Indian Passport no:xxxxxxxxx in original to Canada and hand it over to the - Receiver's details
The Original passport is required by the Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa (CPP-O), Consulate General Of Canada, CPP – Ottawa PO Box 9780 Ottawa ON K1G 4B9 www.cic.gc.ca to be submitted within the next 50 days for issuance of immigration visa. The Issuance of visa is time sensitive. It is, therefore, requested Sir, kindly allow ABC XYZ to carry my passport on my behalf to Canada for submitting the same within the time prescribed. The copy of the requested Email dated 2013-07-08 addressed to my wife xxx ooo requesting submission of her and accompanying members' passports is enclosed for your ready reference.

With this message I don't mean to say that it is a 100% safe process......but it just worked for us.....
I wish all our process to wind up soon......Just waiting for the passports to come back n I am off for a vacation........
It had been a comprehensive test of patience.... Cool Cool Cool
eCAS status is Decision made...I guess it will be same until we will land....
