Most probably won't get it, if you (the spouse) are in Canada, and inviting your spouse to attend (just about anything), the strongest tie is a spouse. Visa officer has no reason to believe your spouse will go back leaving their spouse.

Biometric completed in August 2021. Since then background check nothing processed.

Reapplied on new portal.
application on 15 July 2022
Biometric - previous biometric number linked in portal however, in description it say you do not need finger prints, we will contact if we require.
Background check - processing.

Does previous application of GCkey automatically gets cancelled or we manually have to do it?

My brother's timeline is almost the same as yours just that it is a single application applied from Dubai. just keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh that’s a long journey already. It’s really hard for us to wait that long, we’re still waiting for my brother-in-law and his family’s visa.
