Visitor Visa approved in 28hrs for Parents!! Wohooo!!

I applied for visitor visa on behalf of my parents on Feb 18, 2015 and got Original Passport request on Feb 19, 2015..

I was bit nervous as we (me and my brother) were already in Canada, meaning no one was left in our family back home.

But it was real quick..

Once again CIC proved that if one provide them with appropriate/clear documents, visa is not a hard nut to crack.

If yes,I have a query.

I applied one for my parents and when I check in my cic account,it says original passport submission request and upon clicking the message details,it open a PDF which is very generic and is not containing any name,application number

Please share your experience

Hi abhi, I donno if u got my earlier pm, so thought of posting it here. What should be attached in the purpose of travel? Is it something different from invitation letter?

And did you show your bank accoint as well
I have heard that we have to show 5000$ in our account is this correct?

I didn't show my account, my parents did their around $10000.

You can write a general letter like what are you coming for, places you would be visiting etc.

Hi, I applied for TRV for my mother in law online. Application submitted on Jan 2nd. But no update yet. I keep checking the status and it says status is OPEN. Everything else says not needed at this time. Last year when I did this online application for my parents, it didnt take this long. Not sure if there is any delay now. My mother in law is in India and I am currently living in Canada. Please advise if there is a way that I can check the status.

I am going to apply for my mother super visa online:
I have few questions:
1.when apply online,paying the fee online through credit card after submitting the application there will be a reference code that my mother has to take with her to the visa center (in Pakistan) to drop passport and for bio-metric ,Now my question is will visa office there in Pakistan will also ask for all the documents which i already scanned and submitted? or there job is to take the passport and bio-metric.
2.I was reading in this forum that some visa centers in paksitan will ask you for visa fee over there even if you have pay online (i doubt this though)
3.How long it takes to process the whole thing (from submitting application to getting visa) in Pakistan.
