Visitor Visa applied inside Canada for Indian Citizen

Hi All,
I am on work permit at Toronto Canada , I have applied Visitor visa from Canada for my mother in law who live in India . I have applied visa on 5th Aug 2017 and received confirmation on 9th Aug 2017 however I have not received any update on visa after that. Its being more than 2 months I am waiting for status of the visa.
While tracked online on CIC site it replied " There is no update on your application " and on the account login for final decision it says " your application is under process " .
Will it required so much time for Visitor visa when I have submitted all the forms , invitation letter, air tickets and all the proofs.
What should be the next step on this .. I have booked travel tickets on 1st week of Dec 2017.

Send a Case Specific Enquiry and ask for updates since it has exceeded normal processing time for visitor visa applications. (Search Google for IRCC webform).

On the case specific query I received email response saying " There is no update on your application ".

i have similar situation, i have post graduate work permit, and applied TRV for my parents on August 6th, and processing started on 11th of August. And till now no update.
Please keep updated here if you receive any update from IRCC.

Lucky you !! -- Congratulations . I haven't received any update as of now . I have again put web query however yet to receive any update on that.
