Lot of October files are stuck [ including mine]. A friend of mine is from Oct 31st and waiting too. I see Oct 5-14 files have moved a lot [ based on the PPR updates I saw on this forum and other groups]

Hoping this trend continues and we all hear in the next week or so

Thanks for sharing the timelines and congratulations. My mom has valid B2 visa and visited US thrice. But no luck for us.
Here are my timelines for others' reference
Applied (on new IRCC portal) - Nov 8
Biometrics appointment - Dec 2
Biometrics updated in profile - Dec 10
BVL & PPR - No update

And a lot of december applicants received ppr in 2 weeks or less.

applied tourist visa on 25 Dec,2021 and on 18 Jan,2022 I got medical exam request on GCKEY moreover status changed to
  • We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
as far as i know IRCC doesn't demand medical exam on tourist visa if the stay is less than 6 months.
can someone shed some light regarding this

They do ask for some people
My friend applied for his wife and child and he got a medical request for both. His child got the visa while no updates yet on his wife

I also received the BVL today.
Visitor Visa for Parents and Brother (27 years old)

Application Date - 11 Dec 2021
Biometric Provided - 13 Dec 2021
BVL - 18 Jan 2022

Location - Burma (Myanmar)

I put my brother in the same application with my parents. GCKey application.

You are very close to your decision. You should generally get the decision within minutes of receiving BVL. However there have been some cases with a delay too. Wishing you the best
