visa stamping at other office

Hi,

I am in little tricky situation, please advise.

My application status is "Decision Made" and got the Passport Request for VISA stamping. I got this email on 2nd June and I have 60 days to get the VISA stamped. Problem is that I will be in India till 21st June and after travelling on business for few months. And, per the email notification, its says "If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office."

I am confused - shall I go to the country I am visiting on business and then get PR VISA stamped there OR shall I stay in INDIA (which is next to impossible for me to do).

I have sent email in this regard to CPC but they takes 20 wokring days (1 month) to reply and that too not sure (saying from past experience) so in that case I am left with no choice and no where to go.

Also, please tell me how much time it takes in INDIA to get VISA stamped ???

Abhi, it will be better for you to email Ottawa. Then get your visa printed in New Delhi.

But if you have the option to send your passport to Ottawa, that is best.

My rep sent a reminder last May 30, so yeah, I feel like it's gonna be our week next week,(fingers crossed), coz it's gonna be my 30th day on the 14th since we emailed the request. My 60days deadline for the submission of passport is coming close too. I hope it's not gonna happen to me or to us that we have to wait for 50days b4 we get a response from cpp just like wht happened to the other applicant. I'm always wondering why does it take so long for them to respond to our request. U have any idea how the process go?

yes, ashra. cant wait for monday to come. but tomorrow im going to canadian embassy manila and see if they can stamp my passport and print my visa without cpp ottawa's email. hopefully theyll have mercy on me.

At the local Canadian Embassy they don't have "In Person Drop-off" service, and I think it is frown upon, they will probably forward you to VAC or to mail your docs. Have you asked them to advise you on your situation?

Let us know what happens. I believe even Singapore CHC used to have a drop-off box. People in the past used to drop their passport in their drop-off box and go for sightseeing in Singapore for 2-3 days. Their visa would be printed in the meantime, and they would collect it after 2-3 days and return to their home country

Even this time when I sent my passport to Singapore, some people suggested me to go Singapore for 7 days and do it in person. Then I had to tell them it does not work like that.

This wait is more intense than the PPR wait.

I am kinda regretting sending that request.

Now I can't even send my passport to them through a relative.

Going to email CHC Islamabad in a weeks time if no response from them..

The thing is noones email is being looked at and the backlog keeps rising for these requests. You guys think they will just go through these type of requests in one go?

23 days for veronice is way to much of a wait.

Lets hope her contacting the embassy in Manila works out. Do let us know so we can take that step with out visa office.

Whatever happened with Ragaa's passport, where he sent it without a letter attached of visa office change. He hasn't given us the result for it.

I have send mail to CIC on same date for Visa stamping in India.
Waiting for reply.Update me in your list please.

When can we expect the reply? summer vacations are near.
