Hi all,

I should have posted here instead of in the October thread.. here is my current situation:

My wife and I have got PPR on 28 May. However, I am working in Canada and she is in Bangladesh. I have already sent a request to print her visa in the Singapore office, haven't heard back from them yet. Meanwhile, I need to sign a new contract with my office asap as my work permit is expiring next month. I haven't applied for BOWP. Should I send my passport to Ottawa and wait for my wife's passport to get printed in Singapore office? Do we need to submit pp together/at the same time in different visa offices?

I'm afraid that if I submit my passport before the approval of location change for visa stamping or any further instruction for her, she might loose her visa credibility.

Seniors, seeking your valuable advice.

Thanks

I was in your situation. I waited for confirmation from CIC. Then after confirmation I sent passport to Ottawa and Singapore.

Thanks ..I would prefer to wait if there was no contract renewal issue :(. now I'm really confused about what to do

Count me in this wait.

PPR - 27th May

After a long though on this. I decided to change the visa office to Pakistan for stamping as its illegal to sent passports otherwise.

Requested change in office - 2nd June

The wait for the email continuous.

I have a job waiting for me till August 1st. so hopefully everything will be sorted by then.

fingers crossed!

iamroth, thank you for giving me suggestion before again here. Congrats your application is closing to the end. I am in the same situation as you and some others: I works in Canada and my spouse is in my home country. It looks we have to wait for about 1-3 weeks after requesting changing visa stamping to other country. My question is why we could not inform CIC in advance for changing the visa stamping to other country, if do so, it will hurt our application? if you have some concerns, please share here.

You can do medical anywhere. Just take the MR document to a designated doctor.

Someone else informed CIC even before receiving passport request. And CIC added that information in to his GCMS notes. Yet CIC sent him the "Send to Ottawa" letter. He had to email CIC and ask for visa office change. About a week later, CIC replied to his request.

This wait is really killing!

I have a feeling all of ours will be emailed the same day.

you can check the timeline:

Unfortunately Ottawa has no simple time limit to this. They may reply on same day or take 4 weeks to reply. :(

Don't worry Ashra, the waiting doesn't stop even if you get response from CPC-O. I have been waiting for a week my passport to come back from Bucharest. So.......Be patient, I have been there :)
