But the issue here is that in PPR email, CIC indicates this "Please note that CPC-Ottawa does not send out passports outside of North America."
Even though you find a courier that can send ppt to Canada. Will it be safe to get it back?
Unless you have someone in Canada to receive the ppt for you and then send it to you later when they receive it back from cpc-ottawa.
just my two cents :) and good luck to you!

If it is really urgent to get the visa stamped, I would suggest you send a request to cic cancelling your request to get visa stamp in your home country and let them know you are sending your passports to Ottawa already.

If no response from them by Monday, then send it to Ottawa.

But the risk is on your side though.

I'll make some phone calls later just to be sure. Thanks Mangochestnut. :)

Don't worry it'll work out, like your signature says almost there! Hang in there, I'll keep you posted, my PP should be back in couple of days. That should get things in perspective for some of us.

Hi
I got medicals and i am travelling back to my home country. I will complete medicals in my home country.

My Question is
1. When should i update CIC. Right away or after medicals.Any suggestions.( I posted it in November thread but i think it would be better here, more experienced people.)

Good job Roth! I like it, I do have a correction though, I sent my request on May 14th, not 12th. Thanks :)

Hey Veronica, I strongly suggest you wait until you get response from cic. Since you had already shot email to cic to make such request which they are working on it and your file will be transferred to local office to issue COPR and visa. As I remember in the email from cic, it stated that 'your case will be finalized in (name and location of your local office)', if you send passport now, it would cause confusion and delay. I know one person whose boyfriend in home country, she requested cic firstly, after some time with no reply, she arranged her bf passport couriered to Canada, then she got response from cic stating her bf case to be finalized in home country, eventually she ended up sending the passport back.

This is what I know and my view, but you may double check with your rep to be sure, after all, it is risky to courier passport and will subject to scrutiny by the Canadian border agency.

Thanks GHD123. I just talked to my rep and she advised to wait another week and she'll email ottawa today for follow up. I I am leaning to that side too, to just continue what we had started. :)

I prefer that you email them after you receive Passport Request.

I had my representative update my residential address as soon as I got back in my home country where I did my medicals too.

Thanks a lot iamroth & veronica79.
