Just sharing an update.

After passing 57 pain filled days, they have sent my passport to the local VFS office.
I could not collect it, since their office was already closed for the day. And then weekends.

Hope fully I will get the visa.

Yes. by default CIC asks you to submit everyone's passport in Ottawa. If you are living somewhere else, and cannot find a way to send your passport to Ottawa, then you would have to email them, so that they send you another Passport Request Email, for your local CHC.

actually my question is , I am here in Toronto , don't have any issue to send my passport to Ottawa.
but for my husband, he is India, so I want to confirm will we get PPR for Ottawa office or for him it will be New Delhi???
because CIC have all docs and they knew he is not in Canada.

Usually you will get 1 PPR request so it will be Ottawa.

I applied CEC while in Canada & moved to India , I have updated my address with CIC(it shows in ECAS too) but still i got PPR to send passport to Ottawa. mine is different case but out come would be mostly same.

The PPR email is generic, that means they don't send out PPR according to address. They should, but they don't.

First you will get PPR, which will ask you to submit both passports in Ottawa.
Then you email Ottawa, saying your husband needs to submit his passport at local CHC.
After few days (or weeks), you will get an email from Ottawa which will have another PPR suitable for local CHC.

I have the same case though. My wife is in India and I have emailed CIC guys to make arrangement for her to send passport to India visa office for stamping. I sent them email on 25th July and have sent reminder today again. Lets wait for the reply!

It took 21 days to receive reply.

Again i received another Ready to visa mail after sending vo change mail,

Is that what we expect? And the mail says send the passport to this address, but no address in the mail?

I requested for Australia, Sydney. Shall I print this and send via VFS sydney for stamping? Will VFS take the request.

or should I request the address and CHC name, etc..?


Your application is in the final stage of processing. In order to issue Permanent Residence visas, you are asked to complete and return Appendix ‘B’(attached) and the following instructions as indicated for yourself and each family member included on your application

Ø Send the current, valid, actual passport/s to this office. Ensure that there are sufficient blank pages in all passports. Do not send expired passport/s. Each individual must hold their own passport (including children); Diplomatic/Official passports are not acceptable.

Ø Pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee: Payment can be made online at www.cic.gc.ca (submit a copy of your online payment receipt to this office) or directly to the Sydney Visa Office following the instructions found online at Sydney fee schedule.

Ø Advise your sponsor to make payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga -www.cic.gc.ca for online payment instructions

Ø Submit updated identification photographs as per the enclosed specifications

In India you cannot send passports directly...you should go through VFS.
