visa extension: indicate how long you plan to stay

I am applying to extend my stay as a visitor, while waiting for PR, and have one question.

The form asks:

DETAILS OF VISIT TO CANADA
Q2: INDICATE HOW LONG YOU PLAN TO STAY (from - to)

1. I am in Canada since fall, so should I put this date as "from", or the date when my tourist visa ends, as I am applying for extension of this one?
2. I want to ask to extend my status for a year, so the end is a year, from today, yes? Or from when my visitor status expires?

Please, help

Hi Ashia,

I'm having the same problem. Did your application go through ok?

I'm going to put the from as the day my visitor status expires, and the to as a year from that date.

Hello everyone, Please help me, I flew on March 27, 2024 as a visitor to my parent for 6 months and I want to extend my status for another 6 months, I’m filling out the form myself to extend the Visitor Record I have this question, there is this question, indicate how much Are you planning to stay in Canada and there you need to indicate From and To and there it says indicate the date when you arrived and I indicate the recent date of arrival and it gives me a mistake, Maybe someone knows how correctly I should indicate? Thanks !
