Our application is also from December 2015, and we are still waiting to hear back after being requested to pay the PR fees and removal fees for ARC back in November 2016. Our due date is also coming up in two weeks, so I'm curious if we will get any any news by then too. How long does it usually take to get a response via case inquiry?

They are quick in responding back. They usually respond back within a week. However, it's all standard response. Try sending them a case inquiry.

Apparently, the processing time counts from the date visa office receives the application.

Hi,

The processing time starts when CIC receives your complete application. Source: CIC official website.

I was told it's the date from when the visa office receives the application. The CIC website does say from date application is submitted. If I go by CIC website, mine is over normal processing time.

I have receiven an email from vienna office that my aplication is under review and they will email me as soon as They will have more information.
Also They asked me to send them Certificate de selection du Quebec (CSQ) by email. Does any one else received this kind of email?

Hi, We applied for PGP family sponsorship. Received CSQ in August and letter said that copy was also forwarded to CIC and Vienna Office. I havent heard anything until mid January so I emailled them and asked what is the issue, 10 days later they replied asking for scan of my parents CSQ. I immediately forwarded that to them and havent heard anything since.

Just waiting.........hope the expedite a bit. Our 2 neighbours applied also in January 2016th and their parents already received stamped passports and everything was completed by December 2016.....

Hi, my timeline: Program:QSW .. VO:Ottawa .. APP:2016.02.25 .. AOR:2016.04.06 .. PPR:2017.02.16

I have recently received PPR from Ottawa. I am an inland applicant but am currently in Europe. I would be thankful if you could provide me your opinion about either of these two options:

A) Return to Canada this week and submit my passport to Ottawa and land (fagpoling at US border) within the next three weeks; OR
B) According to the below note in the email from Ottawa, I could send my passport to a visa office in Europe (Vienna) and land in the arrival point in Montreal. (Idea is to avoid the landing process by getting the refusal letter at the US border.)

1. is the second option feasible and if someone had the same experience?
2. how long it would take for Ottawa and Vienna to send me the instruction and a confirmation of possibility to submit my passport to Vienna?
3. how long it would take for Vienna to return my passport with the visa?
4. would Vienna provide the confirmation of permanent residency or the border officer would issue it at the point of arrival in my case?

If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, or if you are unable to submit the required documentation for you or your accompanying family members to the addresses below, please send an email to us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you. Please note that our office will not return passports to an address outside North America.

Hello,

I would be glad if you could provide me your opinion.

My PR application has been approved by Ottawa since I was an applicant from inside Canada, but I am temporarily in Germany. So I have requested from Ottawa to submit my passport to Vienna to issue the confirmation of permanent residency and the visa. I am still waiting for their response.

I would like to know your opinion about the way it works with Vienna office:
1) How long it takes for Vienna to return the passport of applicants to issue the PR Visa?
2) In Canada they used to use this return envelope from Canada post for the return of passport and COPR, how it works in Vienna? some has to call a post service to pick it up, or you pick up in person, or I could include a return envelope from Fedex or DHL in advance.

Thank you for your kind attention, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi,

Congratulations for your PR approval. I was not able to send you a personal message as I received the error: The recipients inbox is full.

I will answer you here. It is possible to purchase the return service from any courier DHL, UPS etc. I did so and got my CoPR and visa in just 7 days with UPS. As the embassy does not communicate with third parties, they will let you know that your package is ready and then you inform the courier that they can go and pick it up.

If you do not use the return service from the courier, then the embassy will mail the package to you via regular mail which can take from 15 to 30 days to be delivered.

NB: The embassy is not responsible in case your package is lost via the latter option, so I highly recommend you engage a courier for visa and CoPR pick up.

Good luck!
Sookie

hi

first congrats on your pr,

i sended my passpoort with express mail from the netherlands ( not dhl, fedex, of ups) they recived it in 1 day.
it toke 2.5 weeks when vienna send it back to me. u can use a return envelope if u want, but in the netherlands they dont have it.

if u dont send a return evelope while u send u passpoort, vienna will send back the passpoort and the corp with registerd mail back to you, free of chagre, thats takes about 5 days.

hope this helps

Hi,

Please write an email and let them know that you have exceeded the normal processing time.

On that note, also do mention the average processing time for your category.

Good luck!

The processing time starts when the visa office receives your application. When was that?
