Incorrect. The processing time at the federal stage starts when CIO receives the complete application. If everything is in order then CIO forwards your application to the embassy responsible for your home country for background, security and medical checks prior to issuing the visa.

HI Sookie,

Thank you for the prompt response. I appreciate that. Indeed my mailbox was full (cap is 5) and I just noticed that.

OK, the 7 days you mentioned was for UPS to return your passport or it was for Embassy from the time they receive your passport and send you the notification that your packet is ready for pick up? Also, could you advise me that which post service is good to use in sending from germany to vienna? I am new here, in Canada I used to use Fedex.

I also have one concern that since I was inland applicant and ottawa and sydney was responsible for me I have to send the passport to ottawa but now I sent them a request in order to vienna give me the visa, is it ok? I mean I am worry that they may transfer my file and over and over ... or it's just attach of visa since application has been approved?

Thank you a lot.

Hi,

Congratulations for your PR approval. I was not able to send you a personal message as I received the error: The recipients inbox is full.

I will answer you here. It is possible to purchase the return service from any courier DHL, UPS etc. I did so and got my CoPR and visa in just 7 days with UPS. As the embassy does not communicate with third parties, they will let you know that your package is ready and then you inform the courier that they can go and pick it up.

If you do not use the return service from the courier, then the embassy will mail the package to you via regular mail which can take from 15 to 30 days to be delivered.

NB: The embassy is not responsible in case your package is lost via the latter option, so I highly recommend you engage a courier for visa and CoPR pick up.

Good luck!
Sookie

Thank you for the prompt response Ivanovic. I appreciate that.

I see that you have file transfer in your profile. So I have one concern that since I was inland applicant and ottawa and sydney was responsible for me I have to send the passport to ottawa but now I sent them a request in order to vienna give me the visa (since I am temporarily came to Germany), is it ok? I mean I am worry that they may transfer my file like yours and over and over ... or it's just attach of visa since application has been approved? what do you think?

Thank you a lot.

Hi,

You should be able to clarify that with a simple email to the visa office. They are very responsive, usually reply within a day. The 7 days period was for the embassy to issue CoPRs and visa counterfoils for my family of four. The UPS was very quick, it took them one day to send the package and another one to bring it back, they even delivered the package to my door. For Germany, DHL could be a good solution.

Good luck!

Hi,

Please write an email and let them know that you have exceeded the normal processing time.

On that note, also do mention the average processing time for your category.

Good luck!

Thank you very much ☺️

Thank you very much ☺️

You are welcome. I come from Kosovo as well, and it took my application around 13 months to be approved and visa issued since CIC received it on August 2015.

Hi
I'm a July 2016 applicant.
Do anyone else is still waiting from July?
I had an interview in October, and did medical in November,
Sent in police reports in December, RCMP got done in 13 januar. Since then nothing.
I know that I needed to get an ARC but I applied for it in November 2014 I'm not sure what is going on with that.
Can anyone tell me how long does it take from here?
Or any advice what should I do?
I was thinking to send an enquiry email, but I'm not sure if that is a good idea.

Hi,

I did not need an interpreter. In case you do it is up to you to find and pay for the interpreter.

Good luck!

I am not a July 2016 applicant but have also applied for ARC. You mention you submitted your ARC back in Nov 2014, before you submitted your application. As for as I know, you have to wait for Vienna to request your ARC as it's processed alongside your sponsorship application. They requested for our ARC fees/documents in September 2016 and then requested the removal fees and RPRF in November 2016. We are still waiting for COPR. I am a Dec 2015 applicant.

Does anyone on here have experience with ARC with Vienna? I'm just curious how long people wait after they pay their RPRF fees to get COPR? I have sent a case inquiry and have not received a response.
