OMG thank God!!! YAY!!! CONGRATS!!!!!
(I can't remember, are you guys a regular spousal sponsorship or was he a failed refugee?)

Can you share some details? Mine's a month away! =D

He was refugee but withdrew the status. They asked questions about that and our relationship. It lasted about 40 min. Good luck :)

Guys,

We received our COPR today but we haven't received any passport request with that. Are they going to send it after COPR or as a Hungarian I don't need to send my passport to Vienna to stamp it?

Please advise how to proceed...

Thanks,

You are probably getting a lot of these questions but does anyone knows how long does it take now to get Passport Request after the Medical was done? Anyone have recent experience with Vienna office?

Few weeks ago we have sent police certificates and update for our newborn and we got Medical request 24hours after the update package was delivered UPS to Vienna office. Incredible huh? So, someone told me that now they are clearing things much faster than they used to do before.

We have done our medical a week ago and we still have old status "We started processing your application on November..."

As far as I see Hungary is an exempt country, so you will not need to send in your pp. Now you can do the landing :) Congratulations!

It's finally over! After 1 year and 3 months I finally landed as a PR today!

We're a Hungarian Couple too, our Application has been in VO since Oct 15, 2013, sitting in some pile, gathering dust. Like you say we will knock on their door at the 17 month mark. I think there is one other Hungarian couple waiting too.

Since it's 19 months you'll probably have to redo Medical and Police report. I believe the medical timeline is tied in with the COPR usually a year. If no interview, they may ask for Docs (Chats, Pix etc) to say what you have been doing, as a couple since May 2013.....Hopefully we will all get done in the next month or two.....Good Luck and keep us posted, on your progress; Toronto1989

Zedtoronto, Toronto1989,

Can I contact you in private??? I tried to send you an email but for some reason it says I can not...

I have a question,
after becoming PR,how long it is needed to apply for citizenship, and it is counting days that you are in Canada before becoming PR?

you have to be in canada for 3 years before applaying for citisenship,

They have recently change it to 6 years before applying for citizenship

Do you have some link for that? I've heard they changed it from 3 out of 5 to 4 out of 6 years, plus the days spent in Canada after applying for PR count as 1/2 a day (not sure if this applies for outland applicants)?
