When are you scheduled for the interview? Because if you have not been asked for one, there is chance that they won't ask you for an interview. Interviews are generally for cases that have red flags, as in, the case officer was not fully convinced about the intentions and/ or legitimacy of the relationship.

I have had no contact from them... I don't know what they want. or whats going on with our application. if I had any doc request or interview I would be very happy... but silence is frustrating. I hope ill receive something soon. its started to scare me. maybe they skipped us or this is there intent

Hi,
I am from Germany .. so I have to go over the Vienna Office for my Common Law Sponsorship!

My passport is valid until end of July 2016.

Should I get a new passport If I would start to send my application in November this year to Missisauga? ... or Is it enough time until
end of July 2016 to get the Permanent Residence Visa.

wow 17 month is scary!!!

thanks
:'(

Julia123, haven't you lived in Canada for over 12 months already? Then you would be allowed to apply through Ottawa which is really fast. You could be approved within 3-6 months instead of 17+. As soon as you have a visa for 12 months or longer (study permit, work permit) you are allowed to apply through VO Ottawa

hi little apple,
really???
3-6 month?
what does that mean:
As soon as you have a visa for 12 months or longer (study permit, work permit) you are allowed to apply through VO Ottawa.

If I had a work permit for one year than I can go over Ottawa?

DO I have to send the same application? or is it different?
thanks so much!!!!
:)

In both cases I would get a new German passport before applying. Processing times are subject to change. Why take the risk. Germany issues new passports very fast. You will get your new passport before applying in November.

I have no idea how long it usually takes from in process to decision made. Does anybody know how long it usually takes?

So far Vienna has not asked for any additional documents. They have not contacted us at all so far. I just happened to check eCAS today and saw that my status changed to "In Process".
