My interview was in Pristine in IOM (International Organization for Migration). I was in room with officer from Vienna and translator. I took the translator for any case, but I didn't need. The interview was approximately 20 min and at the end she told me that I passed the interview. There were 2 guys with me on interview but they failed on theirs interviews. That's why I told you to be careful on interview. Usually the girls are better in interview than the boys, because they remember more details, such as who propose, when did he propose and etc.

Tom thank you it was strange they need us to vienna not to our place but anyway is ok.

Sponsor: Thank you so much for your advise hope we will make it could pls tell me if they ask about relationship or what did they talking about?

It took long time almost 1 year, because after interview they made a background checks. I waited six months only for fingerprints.

Background checks means medical and police certificate from the countries where you stayed more than 6 months. My interview was on 16 October 2012 and from 19 October 2012 I was in process. My medical and police certificate expired and I needed to send them a new ones. The fingerprints checked by RCMP of Canada took very long. i stayed more than six months in Canada and I need to send them.

Does anyone know how the processing works? Do they work on files in order of receipt? I was never asked for any additional documents, my spouse and I are married and we provided plenty of proof of our relationship (at least i hope we did), i'm just starting to panic that I have no heard anything from them and its been 9 months since my file was sent. They say it might take longer if additional documents are needed, but what if they dont need any? Someone please eblighten me. Im trying to decide if i should go visit my husband for Christmas, but I just wish i knew if processing was almost over so that i dont have to spend all that money :(

I am waiting for 9 months as well. No news, no update and they didn't request any additional documents. I think it goes in order of receipt, but every case is separate. It also depends on RCMP and their background check; sometimes they can slow things down as well. Did you contact MP or requested the notes? What does your Ecas say?

Yes, I would say they do it in order of receipt. But who knows, right?

Sponsor, how are you doing over there? :) How do you feel yourself?

sponsor can you tell us...in your opinion, what are the most important questioons that they ask you.....and that we both must remember.thx

Hello Hungary!!!

I'm doing good for now. I got my social insurance number, I applied for health card. I search for a job, but before Christmas is little slow. I want to start with work as soon as possible, because I'm bored at home. My husband is at work during the week days till 6 p.m. and I'm home alone. Here I can't do too much, because everything is far. i started to miss my home.

Yes I contacted MP last week. Supposedly they contacted Vienna but they didn't receive much info. They gave me no more info than I already knew. That processing may take until March for my application and that for me is just unacceptable. There has to be SOMEONE in this world that can give you a straight and exact answer. This whole 'it might take up to... months' is not realistic. my frustrations with this whole system is just wearing me down as it is everyone on here as well. 9 months of being in the dark about the process and 10 months of not seeing my husband, is not my definition of 'working hard for family unity'
