Oh yeah Tom, I also found out recently that VAC stands for Visa Application Center. And the expression "From your mouth to God's ear" is very often in Serbian so I see what Europe wanted to say, she is always so hopeful and positive. We could now say from our mouth to Vienna officer's ears :)

The good news I got this morning is a passport request from Vienna for my Visitor visa, they approved it in less than a day and a half since I sent it on line on Friday and they were closed yesterday. So they are alive and moving faster than ever at least for TRVs!!!

Spread this news please to everyone who is afraid to apply for a Visitor visa while in process for Sponsorship PR. It is not impossible to visit your loved ones while waiting!!! Look for DUAL INTENT procedure to get more info about what is important to emphasize in your TRV application. I believe a letter we wrote explaining the circumstances played a crucial role (why he cannot visit me again, that we just want to travel, spend holidays together and celebrate our marriage anniversary, that with the prolonging processing times we might not see each for sooo long, that I understand I have to return to my home country after that of course, proof of my ongoing studies, ownership of car, land, bank accounts, scholarships... all ties to my home country). I did work hard on the application but it was worth it. At the beginning it seemed like almost impossible and now we have a way to see each other in case I don't get the PR in the next 2 months or more, which I hope won't be our case guys!!!

@ Hungary: Thanks again for your advice and encouragement!!!
Toronto ASAP
Congratulations for the Tourist Visa, yeah Belgrade officer never worked with Immigration Visa, they alsways worked with Tourist , students, and also for anothe documets request , i think that is really good news that they open the office in Belgrade andf they are goign to open another office in Balkan, cuz the Vienna is goign to have less work to do

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and I have a question regarding the authentication of documents. I'm from Slovenia and I'm preparing my documents for PR – family class application – spouse.
I have gathered the following documents:
- certified and translated true copy of my passport
- certified and translated true copy of my identity card
- certified and translated police certificate and
- certified and translated citizenship certificate.
All documents are also certified by our Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Slovenia but because Canada didn't sign the Haag convention, they told me that Embassy of Canada has to certify the authentication of Slovenian documents. Do you have any experience with this?
The other question is about the exact dates they want us to write in “sponsored spouse/partner questionnaire”. I really don’t remember those dates because we met in 2002, I also don’t know the exact dates when my parents and friends have met him. Do you think this is a problem?

If you documents like Police Certificate and other documents is certified and translated in English is fine all you have to do is to sent them both Original and translation one its should be fine, I did that same and they accept it

Tnx Muby, I'm relieved. :) I guess they can check the authenticity of the documents when they get the application from Mississauga.

In God's time.
Evening all!

So, my lawyer's assistant (who's getting on my last nerve) has made some comments on my SIX PAGE personal letter and now the darn thing is running into a full seven pages.
For goodness sake, is this normal? A letter THIS long? I kept it completely in my OWN personal tone, not too formal, but well worded and a bit comical at times.
(the assistant says that i shouldn't have kept it so informal, but my main legal assistant under my lawyer said to keep it in my own words, however long or short i want) ???

Someone, anyone, please advise me. Will the officer take the length and informality of my letter as a bad sign? Or a good one? I was just being me in the letter. That's all ;D

Angie Angie!

Why on earth deal with lawyers. Immigration lawyers are needed only when people have issues with their immigration process.
Ok

We sent a 7 page document of our Relationship essay.
We wrote it on an informal mode like you are doing. From the one and half year I've been in this forum no one was rejected because of a short or a long essay! Just keep it consistent without leaving blank periods.
Let me know if I can help you!

Wow 7 pages is long ;) We only wrote roughly a page about our 4,5 year relationship mentioning the main facts.

In addition to a short letter explaining our relationship we added a printout of our Facebook relationship history. It is actually pretty cool. For us it resulted in a 35 page PDF document which shows our relationship since we first met and became friends. It includes all wall posts that we have written to each other's wall during our long distance relationship and also all pictures we both were tagged in at family events like Christmas etc.

Of course we also added pictures and other stuff like plane tickets.

I am surprised too Angie, why do you need a lawyer?
But anyways I would always prefer the informal version , and if it became long, well it did. i mean we need to put out there everything of our personal life and literally everything they want to know, well, be! Mine is 9 pages :))))) only the development or our relationship. :D oookaaay I do have a complicated story which goes, back for twenty years so...
Anyways, it will be good!!!! No worries :)

Tom. Reading your sentences to me, I was getting the strong urge to hop into the car and goooo :D but as I said I wouldn't go with the kids on my own, but my husband might get jealous :) but it sounds fabulous!!!!!!!
I think you will miss Greece a lot, am I wrong? @--->---- this is a rose for you for offering a weekend ;)

Hi

We had to be on 7 pages even more some times for one good and simple reason. We are not married as most of you are. So when you are common law, and especially common law in countries like the ones we come from (it is not recognized) you do not have a Marriage license to provide proof of your relationship so writing a big essay is sometimes the only way to go.

I guess this explains why the long essays! :D :D

Haha you all are so awesome <3 <3 <3

Long story short, i took on a lawyer last minute because i was a failed refugee case (had a horrid judge -shudder-) and was so busy with work and all (broken arm, new job etc) so i needed guidance. If i had known all that i know now, that i learned JUST through this forum, i'd have done it all on my own!!! But alas, it is what it is, and i have a lawyer. They are cool, except this assistant... grr.

I can't do under 7 pages, even my tiny descriptions turn into a novel, it's just the way i am. I'm a big reader and i am very detailed and they're gonna get 7 pages and like it, darn it.

LORD i hope we finally file this month.

P.S. as i'm writing this, the FBI sent me a notice that they are missing the application part of my prints.... i faxed that to them, TWICE, over a week ago. Sigh.

Of course I will. Already I feel homesick when I am thinking of the day that I must see my neighborhood for the last time. But Vancouver will compensate for my loss...I believe! Not the Greek locality of course but it has a strange and loving beauty which I already like although have never been there in my life!
Will see

Just a note for all!

Manila, Sydney, London VO's are raining PPR's COPR's even that some of them are still on strike!
Guys, when September came I felt very optimistic that the new month will show a sign of life from Vienna! It seems that the 3rd day of the month have passed already (Europe time) but still Vienna in the dark!

I know that most of you do not tolerate people who are complaining, believe me I am not one, but my nerves with this stupid VO are up on the wall!

@#$!%^#<*^&^$< (censored Greek cursing) ;D

Ok I vented out so lets carry on to business as usual ;D ;D
