if they requested a second medical i'd be cautiously optimistic that your case is almost done. Usually they won't request a second medical unless the background checks are finished. Europe is right though, things do slow down significantly in the summer, our case was transferred to Vienna last june and they didn't even open it till mid-September. But it's all luck of the draw in the end.

Thank you for the encouragement. I hope we are nearing the end. The thing is that when his med exam was expired I emailed the office to ask if we should do another one. They emailed back with a form for us and stated that we may wish to do another one. They did not ask us to. hmmm so I hope that either way we are nearing the end.

As an aside, I sent a temporary visa application to Vienna so my uncle (also Serbian) could visit my dad and family in Canada. We sent it in May 17th and have yet to hear some news for him. I wish everyone good news soon.

Hi all!

I need a tiny bit of help for one moment! Does it matter that the PDF forms i printed are partially typed out, and some spaces are filled in by hand? Some of the IMM forms just won't allow me to type into a specific space (that and i'm waiting for literally 1-2 tidbits of info but i need to print out the forms at once since i'm using someone else's printer... don't have one here in Europe -_- )
Or is it better to just print all the forms blank and fill them in by hand?
(i feel that they shouldn't nit pick about things like that but hey... you never know who the officer taking your case is...)

Thanks all!!!

On another note... how's everyone this week? Hope all's well!

Angie

One of the PDF documents creates a barcode on the bottom when you click on the button "validate". I'm not sure if this works if not everything has been filled out and CIC needs the barcodes to process your application. Wait until you have all the information you need, fill out the pdf, save it on an USB stick and go to a library or copy shop to print it out.

Hello Angie, nice to see you again

As long as you hand write in a comment area that's no problem. . Even I left some areas like these un printed and did it by hand. Try to fill all necessary required fields in the PC so you can Validate the form properly (There are only two forms that need to be validated and have the bar codes anyway)
If you do not have enough room in a comment box then just type it on a different sheet and make a reference to it!

Best regards

Tom

no it doesn't matter,, as long as all the required fields are filled in and your codes are printed out correctly at the end of the form. We "mized and matched" as well.

Makes life easier!

Wait, is the strike really over??? (bit busy here, no time to scour the 'interwebs' for info...)

Angie

Fortunately, Vienna was never on strike. I think that some offices work again but some are still on strike:

Next step on my ecas was :medical results have been received

Now I'm waiting for "in process" but this will take a while. Not every ecas is updated so it could be that your decision will be made and it still says "application received". It depends on the officer who updates ecas... So don't worry too much if your status won't change.

Thanks to you little apple I already made a medical exams since before applying and already Vienna ask me for additional documents for continue my application process since April now I am just waiting for next step good luck for all of us
