Good morning to everyone:
I wrote an email to my MP explaining our case, but there is not answer from her side. Also we sent a mail to CIC because in their AOR they state that after 3 motnhs we have to contact them (that was last friday) and not answer till today. That's remind me when I made my application to become a PR 3 years in total and not explanation about wahy that tooks so long fro people who made their application at the same time, at first we though that was priority to married cases, but not, tham married with childrens but not, and then singles but neither, finally we thought that was about the professions untill the moment that a lwayer got his PPR, so at the end I was sure that there is not a logical explanation on the treatement of cases.
Well I hope that this gonna be better soon, since there is a real relationship, and both speaks french and english with a baby.

Good luck Venecan, let us know how it goes. I contacted them twice as well but we only got generic answers both times and was politely told that my future inquiries might not be answered. Let me know if you hear anything from the MP, I haven't contacted mine yet, I figure I'd give them till January Can't believe how crappy our luck has been so far, I feel like we are getting the short end of the stick at every stage of this process.

SanBen you are not alone , i am from February and still waiting ,my hubby mail them last week the document what they asked , and i contacted MP to let them know that we send our documet, and Mp contacted me today and they told me that Vienna didnt reply to the emails, i dont know what is goign own , it is really strees time , and the holidays are here , until when we have to wait

MP's can't really do anything until Vienna does something wrong.
The only thing they can "do" is that Vienna is obliged to answer their e-mail.

This means that they might get the answer "File is still in process within estimated time" and that will be the end of your MP's "power".

MCDutch i know that Mp can not do anything , but if i didnt contact MP vienna forgot about hubby file, because aftre he finished interveiw they never repsond to our email and telling us that we need extra document to send them , even they told to my husbnad that evrything is ok , all the documetns are ok , and aftre 4 weeks MP contacted them and they reply to their email telling that we miss documents, now evrything they do have i guess and no answer , why they dont finish file which are from beggining of the year ,

Yeah you are right , we dont want from MP to speed our process , becauae they can not do that , but do you know how many files Vienna forgeting now , fatsre are now with the people who applaying now , than for us who applied begginign of the year , for us taking forever .. that is really sad and strees

Yah, I know they can't speed things up. I suspect that they are waiting on background checks from other federal agencies that's why it's taking so long. It'd just be nice to have a more precise timeline than "it can take a few weeks or a few months or..." but honestly there's nothing much we can do but wait and hope for the best

We have to wait we dont have anything else,how we wait until npw we have to wait more. but is really stressful waiting

Thanks guys! My MP told me that asap she knows something she will contact us! Aswell we got an email from Vienna which indicates that they are make tha final backgrounds verifications, and they will contact us when will be done.
So NOT NEWS!!!

Guys, can you help me clear out something? Few weeks ago I got reply from VO that my application is pending for background checks. Does that mean that they are doing these checks or my application is waiting for them to start these bckground checks. (maybe they would put something like your background checks are in process).

I think that means that they are doing them already. If your application is "in process" on e-cas, they have most likely started the background checks around that date, if not before.

Venecan, we got a similar answer. when did your status change to "in process" on e-cas? And out of curiosity, has your spouse lived in different countries before submitting the sponsorship application? I'm trying to understand why our backround checks are taking so long.

I've done a lot of international internships and exchanges as a student, so I have lived in several countries... I listed them all on the application, but wasn't always registered at the addresses I provided (but rather just lived there for 10-12 weeks before returning back home)... I really hope that later on it won't be a problem that I elected to be "more complete" rather than "technically correct".

My hubby ECAs is ion process from October 18 , on Nov 16 they emailed me to tell that they need for one document , we send that paper and we are still in process, i emailed them to see what is going own but no answer

A statistical question!

Where would you say are the biggest delays in Vienna occur! On male or female applicants! I believe it has to be male because of this Army issue and it takes them so long to make the checks!

I will appreciate any input into this
