A statistical question!

Where would you say are the biggest delays in Vienna occur! On male or female applicants! I believe it has to be male because of this Army issue and it takes them so long to make the checks!

I will appreciate any input into this

messenger
honestly i think is more with the male applicants taking forvere than the womens applications., maybe i am wrong ,

what should I say :(hubby done the remredical and new police certificate, everything arrived in Vienna 1 month ago. We don't know when medical results will arive in Vienna, and who knows when we will know...althoug I do think that request for remedical and new PC should indicate that the process is over, hopefully! Is there any way of knowing or inquiring if Ottawa sent medicals results to Vienna?

@Europe, yes I do think so too, that it is harder on male applicants...

Quick (non-)update from me: I submitted my visitor visa extension today, as there hasn't been any news from Vienna and my visitor visa will expire in 30 days. Sigh.

hi there :)

when i had to get my wifes medicals re-done... i looked around online to see what that was about... and I read that the only reason they would ask to have medicals re-done is if it is the ONLY thing hindering their decision... it can not be for anything else.... So if that comes back clean... which it should.. after that, it should be over.. I'm hoping that's the case for me mid january.. Good luck to you and you can read for yourself about this too, but that's what I found.. so it was reassuring :)

europe, yes luckily the medicals were sent to them pretty fast, he done them beginning of November, then the doctor send them within 10 days, so I guess it took around 3 weeks for the results to arrive. I do believe that the decision was made right away, I was worried that it might take long for the results to arrive and the decision to be made.
I know how you feel, when I saw the DM, tears were flowing from my cheek, it is happiness but also all the pain comes out from waiting so long, not knowing what is going on...
But your hubby has not redone the medicals yet, has he? What I don't understand, since when is it in progress in your case? Has it not been before the interview?

Oh, another question, what is the further procedure? Will we get COPR by mail, or will they ask first for a copy of his passport once more? Will we get an email?

Venecan, we got a similar answer. when did your status change to "in process" on e-cas? And out of curiosity, has your spouse lived in different countries before submitting the sponsorship application? I'm trying to understand why our backround checks are taking so long.
Our status change to "In process" in october 1 month after Vienna VO AOR issuing, Yes my wife is a german citizen but was living in Venezuela almost all her live, she only spent 3 years in germany after her 18 years old. We are sure that is the cause of the delay (that happens to me with my PR residence application 2 years in background checking because I was studying in Spain and Ireland), but this process is a lotery, but I was not expecting that that could happen twice in my life.
Have a nice weekéend. And waikiki congratulations!!!

I have a feeling that's what's slowing us down as well. My husband spent his whole life in Germany, with the exception of one year in Canada when we were dating..so probably they have to do background checks for both countries. I just hope it doesn't take 2 years because that would drive us insane. :)

Setting up email alerts for ECas and the Vienna spreadsheet has done nothing to prevent me from still frantically checking all these sites every 10 minutes or so. I need to find myself a hobby.
