Hi all !

Just to share that my husband landed in Canada on Sunday, December 2nd ! :D
Everything went smoothly - Immigration officer only asked him to confirm the address where they will send PR card, and he had to sign on few places and off he went :)

I wish all of you good luck with your applications, and fast completion of those!

I finally got my new visitors record in the mail today! I applied for the extension on Sept. 06 and it was approved on Nov. 27. They gave me until April 03, 2013, so 6 months after my previous one expired. Now I'm hoping that I will get COPR waaay before that.
Ugh, this reminds me that I have to take care of this soon. I had hoped that the PR would come through in time but it doesn't look like it at the moment.

I would send an email to Vienna letting them know that and when you sent the requested documents and include the tracking number as well. So they have proof that it's on its way and not your fault if they don't get it within 10 days. That's really not much time for sending something by mail... When they gave me 10 days to reply I was able to send an email back so that wasn't too bad..

Good luck that they will receive your documents soon and continue processing your file! I sent my additional information 8 weeks ago and it's still in process..

This is taking Forever for the file to be completed , i hope we are going to have any news soon from Vienna

Franzi, I just sent application online to renew visitors visa. We aslo got letter from health care that husbands health care expires when visa does. How and when did you find out, that you are on implied status? How can you let health care know about that, do you get a document from vegreville about implied status?

Hi Waikiki,

if you submitted the application for the extension before the current visitor visa expires, you will be on implied status from the expiry day until a new visitor visa is approved. It pretty much means that you are legally allowed to stay while they are processing the application.

You can read about it here ( wasn't able to copy the paragraph on my phone):

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp

Maybe you can just send this explanation to your health care provider with your receipt as a proof that you submitted an application for the extension.

Hello to everyone.

Me and my husband in the same situation as you all guys...wait mode: (
CIC in Mississauga received our application on Nov16 and Nov27 we got an email letter stating that I as a sponsor met a sponsor requirements.
[Good news we were very happy as it was quite fast.

Now, we are trying to view our application online but without any success. The message that we see is:

If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status

Please remove the ability for me or anyone else to view the status of my application and address information on this Web site.

Note: Once you withdraw your consent, your application status and address information will no longer be available on the Internet. Learn about other ways of receiving information about the processing and status of your application and updating your address information by contacting us.

I understand if I do a check mark this will remove my ability to view my application online . The problem is that there is no other option.
Did anyone had similar issues??

Another question, will we receive any notification letter from Vienna office once they start working on our application?

I am a Canadian citizen and have to live here in Vienna as my husband will never agree live separate. I am dreaming every night of a day when will be able to return home: ))
Hope it will be fast process for us and to everyone in here!!

thank you all for usefull information and support!
Lena

Yup, I got the same thing. They just redid their website so this may be a bug that hasn't been fixed yet. I would give it some time, you certainly don't want to lose the ability to check your application status online. I wonder what happens if you just leave the box un-selected and hit submit?

You are waiting for Vienna to give you a AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt. From what I know this can take some time, I would guess around 60 days. There is a spread sheet for the Vienna thread that everyone has filled in the dates of different milestones to give others an idea about timeframes. forget how to find it.

Anyone got a link to the spreadsheet?

I actually did it, left the box empty and hit submit, the system asked me to select it first and then to submit...weirrrd: )))

I have one more question, my husband has a refugee status here in Austria, can it be potential problem for decision?
