Hey Canucks fan thanks, you know better than anyone why I'm not that optimistic when making predictions in this matter with Vienna
I also live in Belgrade so it was a BG-Vienna-BG flight.
I didn't ask them about bringing the passport in person but I remember reading about it somewhere. It is possible but I think it is important to bring it by a certain time in the morning so you get your visa stamped the same day or else you have to wait until tomorrow. Send them an email?
I've read now that a lot of people have questions about sending passports from Serbia to Vienna. There is this tourist agency in Belgrade that can do it for you, I found out recently, the price is 40EUR, including returning the passport to Belgrade (less than DHL, right?)

And I will ask the VAC in Belgrade how much they charge for it when I do my medical tomorrow, it's the same building.
When you send it with a registered mail with Posta Srbije you can only track it until it leaves Serbia, so useful And I have this great experience with Vienna from my TRV last year, after issuing a visa they sent my student ID back to my address without my passport?! Because they mixed it so they sent it to this lady in Belgrade that applied the same time so she put all this effort to find my number through the police service in Serbia (what a great person), called me and told me not to worry because she has it. Lesson: Don't risk it with your PR visa!!!
