First of all Congrats on your visa, must have been awful not seeing your spouse for how long? I havent seen mine in 6 months now and it's awful.Serdj977 said:How many pages of GCMS have you received? My notes were on 23 pages. This part looks similar to mine and that's on first few pages of notes. Though at mine status "passed" is with eligibility, medical and crime. The rest was blank. When it's blank it doesn't mean that they haven't started yet. It says on the first page that certain information qualify for exemption. I cant explain what HIRV means. Tried to google it when received mine notes and couldn't find anything that makes sense about it. Obviously it's some kind of abbreviation. Everything is more detailed in GCMS with statuses and dates in the section called history. At least in my notes it is.
I don't know why you are stuck in background checks... It could be if you are associated with organizations, groups or political parties or because of your job. Those things could be also the reason of longer background checks.
My notes have like 34 pgs, on 1st pg there is load of stuff but the "newest dates on there" is 23 of December 2011 (Updated Date). There is says Appl Status Reason : INProgress.
It says RPRF : outstanding, although few pages down it clearly says that RPRF was requested, and than few pages down it clearly notes that RPRF & Military book were received back in Oct.
On the 2nd page down are ASSESSMENTS, that says that eligibility and medical are passed, but security: Not started, criminality: not started. it's not blank, it clearly says "not started". as of February, last date on that page was like January 25,2011.
Most of other pages are related to requested and received documents during last yr., and notes from interview.

Where on your caips did you figure out about extensive background checks?
