For me , well I kind of gave it up, I had to. I locked immigration out of my mind and life. I am living my life like I would if we never applied. And I stuck to this, I don't want to get a dragon, frustrated all the time etc.

Hello everyone

how are you doing guys?
i also give it up i dont wanne look anymore in my E-cas makes me crazy and upset so i decided that i dont look anymore at it i will wait till i get an email from the VO. Vienna is so quiet i think for this year they are not giving any CORP its almost december lets hope next year we will get our CORP.
all the VO they are so busy everybody is getting there CORP and Vienna is so slow.

Its seems we all lose our hope cox of lack vienna slow we all need some Extra exergy for that i rememmber last year i start to arrange my application in November until now i am suffer for this and since April i didnt get anything came from vienna which is make me feel so bad i hope something will come out from them on december or maybe next year !!!!

I try to stop thinking about it, too. I'm sure I will be unemployed next year because of Vienna not working so I have to accept it and try to safe as much money as possible.

Hello Everyone,

I am sad to see that the processing time increased, but at least it's a more realistic picture now. When we applied it was around 8 months and we are 16 months and waiting...it gave us false hope and quite honestly, we would have planned differently if we knew the actual processing time was this long!!!

We are thinking of applying through the federal skilled worker program simultaneously since processing times are waaaay faster and they just opened up a new program that doesn't list specific trades anymore. Has anyone tried doing this? An immigration lawyer said there are no rules against having two applications in at the same time (spousal sponsor and FSW).

On a positive note, we received an e-mail from Vienna acknowledging that they received our new police check and certified translation today. I guess they are alive :

No, We only had one hold up where they lost the birth certificate and we had to get a replacement. My estimate is that it set us back 2 months. Otherwise I have inquired twice now with our MP and they say our file is normal, just that background verification takes a long time. They actually said it wasn't their fault, and that they were waiting on third parties to get the info back to them, but who really knows. When I ordered our GC papers everything had passed and they were doing security and background.

All it takes is one glitch and you're waiting for over a year! But we are ok (thanks to Skype & a strong marriage), I feel so terrible for the couples here with children. I would let them go ahead of me in a heartbeat.

From what has been posted elsewhere in this forum, you can have several applications (I know I have read about seperate FSW applications, so a FAM and FSW application should be no different).
However, where did you get that FSW is processed faster then FAM applications? If you refer to some of the new FSW8 (2013) applications, you need to be at the right VO for that - i.e. CPP-O, or some of those without any backlog, like Hong Kong.
The FSW processing times at Vienna have only gone up during the past two years, from around 10 months two years ago, to 20 months now.
