Here is my story:

My application is still in the house, I'm waiting for the translation of my Police Clearance, so I haven't sent anything yet to CIC.

I did my medical a month ago (I didn't know the police clearance will take so long, or else I would have waited a couple of weeks for the medical). I called the office and the nurse told me to go there anytime between 8 am - 11 am. I went on the 15th of October at 8 am. I was called in the office where a nurse asked me for my passport. She took a picture of me with a digital camera and filled out a form on her computer with my information from the passport. She then asked me about my medical history (did you ever have Hepatitis, HIV, etc.) After that, she printed out my eMedical receipt (which had my name on it and a list with the tests I was going to have) and she gave me my passport back. She sent me to another room to get my blood taken, urine and X-ray.
I came back to her office again and I waited there for the doctor. After about 30 mins, the doctor called me in his office. He discussed with me the results of my tests (showed me my X-ray, etc). He also did an eye sight check and he listened to my lungs.

I left the office with my eMedical paper. On the 24th of October I received in the mail a letter form CIC London, asking me to go back to the doctor because I need to do more tests. It turns out that they saw a scar on my lung and they want to test my sputum for TB. I'm not worried about that since the scar is from pneumonia I had as a child.

You see, my doctor sent the results right away, and as soon as the CIC doctors received it, they reviewed it. Since it's an up front medical and I haven't filed my application yet, they contacted me by mail at the address I provided to the doctor. They gave me a temporary UCI number and my medical file has a UMI number too (Unique Medical Identifier). This UMI number that is on my eMedical receipt and I will attach to my application, will help them match my medical to my application.

And don't be sorry for asking questions, we are all here to help each other and share our experiences. It's a traumatizing process!

I'm gonna throw that info into his face (AGAIN) because i DID tell him pretty much the process you told me: I need the eMedical print out to put into my app. His reply? He's not allowed to give me any medical documents/results from my exam. Meanwhile, CIC states on their site that you can freely ask the doctor for the results...
This is ludacris and he will be reported immediately tomorrow (to my discretion). For now i'll play his game, let him know nicely that he's wrong and to kiiiindly do my Up Front exam. If he says no, Slovenia awaits...
(i still have this odd feeling that he's doing this to me on purpose)

no, you are not the only Croatian on this forum. I am too. I applied in March and had the same problems with that doctor. Actually, not the same, but similar. When I contacted him, he said that I need to contact the embassy and get the IMM1017 form them and then he will be able to do the medical. Of course, nor the Zagreb or Vienna office didn't reply to my e-mail. Lucky for me, I was in Canada, so I called the CIC to ask them what can I do. They suggested that I do the medical in Canada, because all their panel doctors have that forms and there is no need for complications.
I think it is best just to go to Slovenia and do that medical exam.

JJ thank you for that info as well, now that we know what issues exist here, it's time to report him. He said the SAME thing to me a few months ago, and yesterday, and today was a completely different story.

I don't think they'll be doing any serious work before January so I think any news that is to come out of that weird visa office, is gonna come from January and onwards. Then again you'll never know. Maybe some of us here will get a nice PPR from Vienna for christmas

Hi all friends

Nothing too big or too groundbreaking but this morning I received on behalf of my wife, to my big surprise, the following email from Vienna!

Dear Ms. xxxxxx,

This is to confirm receipt of your marriage certificate. You will now have a new file number Fxxxxxxxx.
We have also up-dated your mailing address ( XXXXX-XXXXXXXX XXXX, N.XXXXXXX (FORMERLY XXXXXX) XX)

You will be informed about the further steps in your application in due course.

I snailed mailed our marriage certificate and a change of my wife's address on Monday just 4 days ago. So it means that as soon as my envelope arrived in Vienna they immediately wrote this email to us...., Which means only one thing!!!!!! That they are awake and are replying fast. And not only that they assigned my wife with a new file number very quickly!

Lets all hope now that they start issuing Visas asap starting from the senior people here!

Hi friends,

I sent my police certificates on 15th of October with registered mail and according to the online tracking they received it on 18th of October; however, on 25th they contacted my lawyer asking for the police certificates even though I had a cover letter specifying why exactly is in the package, my UCI and file number, the date of birth of both my husband and mine and I also had written them on the envelope itself.

I am planning on sending an inquiry this weekend to Vienna...not that I expect much from it, but hopefully someone will at least open the file to see where it's at. We'll see if they respond at all. Have a great weekend everyone.

They changed processing times to 13 months so I am hoping it is not unusual. I hope it will all be ok. My husband served mandatory miltary service so I assume it was sent for a detailed background check. We did not get any communication from Vienna since May, when they just said it's pending background checks. That's the reason I want to inquire again, hopefully they will give us some answers. I rceived the GCMS notes in August but there were no entries made for background check, it was just blank.
I was planning on going to see the MP when it turned 12 months, but then it swiched to 13....so we will try to e-mail Vienna first and see what happens.

I am sorry for your story me too i didn't not received any mail from them since April when they ask for additional documents and i sent it to them no news no ecas update just sitting and waiting I hope you will get some news from MP or from Vienna
