Hi Sam ,

I did double check the Oath letter , it is on 8th Aug , and concerned that there are no oath ceremonies posted for Aug 8th in Vancouver on CIC website.

Please check you e-cas if it states something about 8th August Oath invite? Is it the expo address where oath is being scheduled?
Sometimes e-cas states about scheduling of oath on Saturdays. Same thing happened with one of the forum members here but I am not sure about his/her province.

Okay. I have read in this forum that cic offices schedule oath during weekends thus you don't need to worry about anything. You should go on 8th August for your scheduled oath ceremony. My best wishes with you and good luck!

It is good to hear that CIC is doing OT on weekend for oath ceremony. That means more chances for us to get the oath done asap. ;D

Yes, using search tool in this forum, you can search that some people have received test/oath invites during weekends and same is mentioned on their e-cas as well.

The e-cas update is something like the following:

"*Note: Citizenship and Immigration Canada does sometimes schedule events on Saturdays or Sundays."

Hi Sam,
My e-cas shows the same as well. I believe it is for all those whose oath ceremony is scheduled on weekends. Looks like CIC is clearing backlogs at this time. Thanks.

I called them yesterday. They told me "decision made" doesn't really mean oath has been scheduled. It just means someone has taken a look at my file. The lady was helpful and checked my status. She told me there's no oath date scheduled.
