We just sent 4 photos per the USA specific guide and didn't write anything on the back. Just got DM Last week. Good luck!

I took the photo requirement page with me to the photographer and said please meet these specifications. Seemed to have worked!!

Has anyone else who received DM on the 21st received their COPR yet? We're still waiting for my husband's to arrive.

I have a question regarding the transferring of funds -

Do we claim the funds brought at the time of settling on the B4 form? What if not all of the funds are being transferred at the time? Do we include overall how much money will be transferred over time? Or is the B4 form strictly for material items?

I understand claiming monetary values over $10,000, but what if the money was transferred in less than $10,000 increments over 3 transactions?

Are you outside of Canada? It can take a long time to get mail across a border. And your DM date is not necessarily when they actually mailed the COPR, unless you are lucky enough to get the "correspondence sent" line.

Is it standard procedure to fill out the B4 form, goods to follow before landing?

I'm in Canada (2 hour drive from Ottawa) and it took 3 weeks after DM to get my COPR. I got DM on Nov 5, but they didn't issue the visa until Nov 17. Received it on Nov 23.

Hey, all. I have a question.

Has anyone who activated their PR, left Canada for a trip, etc., and then used their COPR to re-enter Canada via airline flight?

I landed today at the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara, and the agent, who was really friendly and seemingly very knowledgable, said that I may not be able to use my COPR to return to Canada via flight/airport unless cleared by the airline. (My COPR says "Not Valid for Travel" across it. She said I could use it for land borders but not necessarily for international flights. e.g. crossing the border in-air.)

I'm headed home to FL for Christmas—sooner than my PR card will arrive—so I'm going to have to call West Jet tomorrow to confirm that I can use my COPR to come back into Canada in January. (She said it was up to airlines.) Otherwise, I'll have to change my flight to Buffalo, rent a car, and drive across the border.

I'm curious if anyone has successfully used their COPR (already activated) to return to Canada via airport?

Thanks in advance!

That's the rule, and you have to apply for travel document if you don't have PR card.
HOWEVER, I heard from numerous number of people from visa exempt country saying that they had no problem entering airport while waiting for PR card. Seems like officer knows that PR card takes long time.
Also, you can send cic trip itinerary and ask them to speed up PR card process.

Since it's required of the sponsor, I would send it asap so they can give you SA. They process SA in Mississauga and then mail the app to your spouse's VO (I assume it will be Ottawa). So yes get it to Mississauga.

Thanks, I sent in the Option C as suggested and just received an email indicating I was approved as a sponsor. Also, you were right, they sent it to CPC Ottawa.

Cheers

Just check online status. Decision Made!

Sent on May 25th
DM Dec 1st

What address is COPR sent to? Is sponsors mailing address, or applicants mailing address, or home address? What do they use Canada Post if the mailing address is in Canada? Thanks in advanced!!!

Yes they use CP in Canada. It'll go to the applicant's address.

We are still waiting for ours this will be the third week we have been waiting since the DM on ECAS. I am starting to worry but also with the refugee crisis and holidays coming I would not be surprised if things were delayed some. I will likely call next Monday if we do not get it by Friday.

All our correspondences have come to me the sponsor in Canada, is it possible because we applied out of country that even though we specified they contact me in Canada they sent his papers to the US? Also we do not have any line saying that the papers are sent but my understanding was that they would be within week or 2 of the DM and can arrive up to 4 weeks after but we still do not have a line saying anything was sent does that mean they aren't sending it? My hubby was visiting when it went to DM so we just had him wait here because all our mail has come to me in Canada so if it goes to his old address in the US well we will likely never see it. On ECAS it is still my mailing address and my hubby doesn't have an ECAS account.
