lol jinx on the rhyme or reason, Mantis!

We all just want to see everyone get through this. No one is better or more deserving than anyone else:)

Lol, I said that a few posts up too! That should be CIC's new slogan.. CIC.. No Rhyme, No Reason

positive thoughts and prayers! Hoping I get lucky too!
good luck everyone!

Nope, it definitely went to Ottawa. I still don't know what "Decision Made" officially means... But if it is good news I am wondering if our situation (being together for 9 years, married for 7, 2 Canadian kids with proof of citizenship, no criminal records or health issues) and the fact that we got everything in and paid the fees upfront helped. We also had a signed lease agreement as our proof of intent.

I'm in Canada as a visitor now - I just hope they get our address change!
Also, I'd like to point out that the majority of us got "everything in and paid the fees upfront". I can't imagine that being the magical reason your application got approved so fast. I sent everything needed, paid the fees months in advanced and I'm still waiting. Like, your timeline is so fast compared to recent people getting approved in 8 months that I can only think it's either, a great mistake or it was sent to Mississauga.
Your processing time is an extreme outlier.

Hey question for anyone here, im looking to pay the RPRF, once i get that paid can i send the receipt via email to Ottawa?

You can really tell this is a forum full of women. So much drama! ::)

Getting your feelings hurt because of a perceived "tone" of a message is just silly.

Monstergirly was just speculating wildly like we ALL do, because no one knows why some go fast and others don't.

It's actually pretty messed up to assume people's gender, and then try and claim that they are acting or feeling a certain because of their assumed gender. Not to mention that there are men commenting on this.

Dismissing people's feelings and opinions on the grounds of their gender (or assumed gender) is extremely misogynistic

Just so I'm nice as possible....

#1. You sir/mam, can have SEVERAL hundred seats with that gender drama mess.

#2. <_< *stank face*

#3. If you feel at all unsure about what #2 means then please, see #1

WOW, there were some men engaged in this conversation.

Now, for you to come in and feel the need to make a comment on us making comments. What does that say about you?

Seriously. This NEEDS to be their Slogan.

CIC - Processing your Application with No Rhyme or Reason

Personally I think the applicants that get processed way ahead and out of sync to the normal average range compared to everyone else are just anomalies that happen for whatever reason caused by CIC, and we should always still look to the majority averages as the reference standard.. I got DM yesterday as many here know, but I certainly do not deserve it yet as there are good people in front of me still that deserved theirs first. I can relate to the anxiety and frustration of it all, and having DM now sure helps but it's still full of unknowns, just read the section about the DM explanation when you look up your status via the UCI etc. I agree with others here, it's just not fair that someone can be put through ahead of someone else by weeks or months with the same type of straight forward slam dunk application ???

;D

I've been hanging around here for a few years now and felt like I'd bitten my tongue enough. Monstergirly really didn't say anything that demanded the vitriol she received. That's what it says about me. I don't like watching people gang up on someone.

You claim to be supportive, but it seems like the whiners only like to support the other whiners. Have at it - there's plenty around.

You are awesome +1

Evadyrrehs hit the nail on the head.

Also not everyone was "ganging up" on Monstergirly, there are others who said she got approved fast because she has kids who need to be in school. This is factually devoid.
