Took us 3.5 months
5 months now and still waiting. I was required to take some extra medical tests which held up the process for about six weeks. I just ordered GCMS notes to find out what's going on.

Hi all,
Does anybody have any idea regarding timeline for PR approval, if your applying from USA. I know it depends on case to case. I am from India and done masters and all my employment are in USA only. No criminal records.

Thanks in advance
Took me exactly 10 months :-/

Similar case as yours. Been waiting for 3+ months . I believe the current trends show approx 120 days on average

PSA for folks leaving the US, consider putting a credit freeze on your credit accounts.

https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0497-credit-freeze-faqs

IMHO it is good idea to have it even if you are not leaving US, just as long as you don't need to open new lines of credit.

Or simply install the credit karma app on your phone and get instant updates when credit enquiries are ran or when new accounts are opened using your identity information. If you didn't initiate just call the companies and let them handle it.

Guys , do you know from where i can get the fingerprinting done for FBI PCC? I am living in new Jersey
Your local police station can help you with that-- call them up and ask to make an appointment.

You can also do your own fingerprints. I did my own.

We went to 1 Police Plaza. The process was pretty quick! When you arrive at the front desk, just let them know that you're there to get fingerprinting done for immigration purposes.

Yeah, Credit Karma is good but that does not prevent your identity from being stolen. Identity thief's often try to take a online loan and you hope that the inquiry on your credit get to credit karma instantaneously and you are able to get through the company and convince them that it was not you. Not to mention cases where you are on vacation, sick etc. A freeze significantly reduces (don't think it eliminates) your chance of identity theft.

Hi..

Can anyone guide me regarding Indian PCC and medical examination @chicago.

Has anyone done medical from chicago..? Need few reviews as the centres are giving us vague answers.

Please guide.
Thanks

Hey all. Things had been pretty crazy for the last 2 months preparing for the move, and I have been absent from the forums for a while. But I finally landed and moved to Toronto last Monday. Anyone in Toronto want to meet up? I know a bunch of people here were talking about meeting up when I was absent and consumed with move-related issues, etc.

I also finally started a blog about my journey to Canada that I had been thinking about for a while.

So far I have just written about my trip and landing with a little (ok maybe more than a little) discussion of my background and story if anyone's interested. To skip to just the landing, go here http://trumprefugee.blogspot.com/2018/06/landing-in-canada-one-journey-ends-next.html#landing

Hi Guys, can you edit the profile after getting ITA? I need to renew my passport as it will expire soon, and location in work experience.

You can't edit EE profile after getting ITA, but that's not a problem. You can edit your PR application any time until you submit it.
