Hi @saleem7821 I also applied for urgent processing after I received AOR nov 26th 2020, till to this date no news if it is accepted or not, I received an email that the request has been forwarded to the concerned officer. whenever i call the call center they say a note has been attached to your file. and only the local office has the decision to accept the urgent processing. My file is still at Sydney.

Anyone knows if the decision is done at Sydney or local office for the urgent processing?

Appreciated for your feedback ! Are you planning to contact local office ?

thank you for sharing your timeline. I am also planning to submit my application for urgent processing. Similar reason employment outside Canada.

Can I submit an urgent request with an online application or I should do a paper-based application?

thanks

Thank you so much! If it is not too much to ask, according to your online account when did you pass the Background Check! I mean the difference between the time you passed BC and the time you have been invited to the online test!

The majority of people considering leaving because of wait for citizenship already have plans to leave and the delay is slowing them down. The only people who really need citizenship faster are the people who need citizenship to qualify for some select jobs in Canada. For the majority of workers their citizenship won’t change their job opportunities in Canada.
Whatever that can make you sleep better at night my friend.

Hello Members,

Has anyone had a urgent citizenship processing request approved with the reason that they have a full time job offer in the US?

Thanks in Advance!

Unless he has a written offer from the Armed forces AND that offer mentions that Canadian citizenship is essential to join in order to proceed with that job application, then he might qualify for urgent processing. Otherwise, it is unlikely IMO.

Please let us know how it goes.

Incorrect. Every CAF job requires Canadian citizenship and it is written in bold in every job description/position CAF publishes. You will not be able to make it to the interview stage if you do not hold citizenship and have not lived in Canada for the last 10 years, and IRCC is well aware of this.
