Incorrect. Every CAF job requires Canadian citizenship and it is written in bold in every job description/position CAF publishes. You will not be able to make it to the interview stage if you do not hold citizenship and have not lived in Canada for the last 10 years, and IRCC is well aware of this.
Well if that's the case, then how will IRCC verify that the applicant is telling the truth and intends to apply for a position in the armed forces? (I'm not doubting the OPs intention to join the armed forces, I'm just stating a discussion, that's all).

https://forces.ca/en/help-centre/#/view/14

As part of our basic eligibility requirements, only Canadian citizens are eligible to apply for employment within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). This means that, at this time, permanent resident status does not qualify you for employment with the CAF.

If you are currently going through the process of obtaining citizenship, you must wait for that process to be complete prior to submitting your application. There is no mandatory minimum time required to possess Canadian citizenship however, which means that as soon as you receive your official citizenship documents, you can submit an application to the CAF.
The reason I'm asking is I have not seen one report on the forum where the applicant was granted Urgent processing without a printed job offer from the employer based on the intention to apply for a certain job.

Also, looks like the OP can apply as soon as the citizenship is granted without having to wait any period of time.

The CAF recruiter can help him with a cover letter stating that he meets all the other criteria except for citizenship.

Awesome. Thanks for clarifying. That is what I wanted to find out.

So in that case, the OP must have approached the CAF recruiter first for the cover letter before submitting a request for urgent processing, right?

Now that the OP has (presumably) submitted an urgent processing request without any supporting documentation, that request is likely to be refused IMO.

Absolutely. And IRCC agent will reach out to the CAF recruiter to verify. This is from my personal experience, two different IRCC agents one from Sydney and another from LO reached out to my HR dept. to verify that the job offer and HR letter stating that citizenship is required, is genuine.

This is useful information, thanks, do you the timeframe, usually they check back with, after submitting?

It is hard to tell. I'm guessing the IRCC agent in Sydney must first confirm the details prior to putting the app. under urgent processing otherwise it would not make sense. And second after the app. moves to the LO then the agent confirms one more time if the offer is genuine and still valid prior to moving it to other stages. Just my thought, not 100% sure.

I’m afraid you are incorrect. The CAF will accept skilled applicants with PR who have been assessed as being in a trade / position that the forces are at a pinch point for. They can (and have) waived the citizenship requirement in order to enrol a member, adding to their job offer that they must obtain citizenship immediately at the first instance that they qualify.
I can say this confidently having witnessed it personally.

Well, for highly skilled jobs/trades such as pilots they are recruiting internationally even without PR status.

You are correct; for skilled positions that they cannot fill with a citizen, the CAF will recruit, assist with gaining PR and waive the need to be a citizen to allow the member to serve. Once the member has completed 3 years, they will be entitled to fast track their citizenship application (usually 12 weeks from start to finish).

I’m not sure why you said citizenship is a must in your previous post if you know this?
