Whoever finished their medicals.. this is my advice from my experience and forum knowledge..

Please pay your RPRF upfront if possible. It may reduce your processing time.

Good luck everybody...

thanks,

Thanks jagga first of all..

Just fill the receipt (actually its a form with receipt number) and send it to <OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca>

You can add these details in the mail:
UCI:********
RPRF Receipt No: ***********
Name: {full name}
DOB: {dob}
Address:
{your address}

This is what I sent last time and it saved my processing days.

Let me know if you need more information.

thanks,
csp

Thanks for reply...actually my file is with nova scotia currently. They have requested rcmp finger prints which i sent earlier. So my concern is, if the file is with nova scotia, can we still send this receipt to Ottawa.

I have a big question guyz......plz helm me out. I want to know as my spouse is in India and my visa office is CPP-O...once we get PPR, how she is supposed to send her passport to canada because i have i called up few courier companies like DHL/Fedex and they said they cant ship passports to another country especially from India because it is illegal and even if they send it, the customs are going to seize it at the border. Even if i ask someone coming to canada to take her passport along personally, how i am going to send it back because then again indian custom officers are going to seize it. Please anyone know if they are from india and how they have dealt with the situation.

Thanx

After much wait got to see "In Process" on my ECAS. Some Relief for me!!!
It reads "We started processing your application on April 10, 2013."

Did a brief research on this topic......called CIC in India and Canada and it is quite clear that you just cannot mail your passport outside of India. Someone else had the same situation like me and he mailed CIC delhi about the problem and heres what he got :-

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

If the Visa Office where your application is in process has requested you to submit your passport for visa issuance, you must submit your passport to the same Visa Office. No other Visa Office can issue the visa, nor can your passport be forwarded by one Visa Office to another.

We understand that, if you are currently in India and your application is process elsewhere, you will encounter difficulty trying to send your passport out of India. Since Indian law prohibits the sending of passports in and out of the country by mail or courier, you are advised to personally travel to the country where the Visa Office is situated in order to submit your passport, or to request a trusted person to carry your passport to that country on your behalf. Before choosing the latter option, however, it is essential to check with the Visa Office to find out whether they will accept passports submitted by a representative. If yes, you must provide authorization in writing to your representative to submit your passport on your behalf. You can complete and print the “Use of a Representative” form at this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applic.... Please note that you may also be required to provide a mailing address in that country to which your passport can be returned after the visa is issued. We recommend that you check the Visa Office's website for complete information.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

I dont know when this wait is going to be over.... ??? ??? ???.....this silence from cic is really killing me.......i have been checking for any updates every hour.....its been 9 long years and dont know how much time more....started feeling depressed already...wot to do??????? :(

Dont worry. I know the wait is killing, but this time it will go through :) Its unfortunate that they scrapped the fsw thing and many of us were caught by surprise, but look at the brighter side, we got nominated too. Hang in there, we are almost through :)

hey guys,

i got an email for a RPRF payment last march 20, 2013. and i send my payment through courier on the 26th of march. and my eCAS status just changed into "in process" they day i got an email for an RPRF payment. then just a week ago, 6th of april. my eCAS is still "in process" status but this time i got "medicals received" on it. i'm just worried for now cause i haven't got any updates about my application, and the deadline for my RPRF paymeent is this coming 20th of april. i've check my bank which issued the manager's check, and they told me that my check is still outstanding. should i really worry about this matter? do i have to call or email my VO and check about this? or i'll just have to wait and see?
