Hi Manju,

Yes, I think you told me this before. But I am sorry, I don't understand what you are saying exactly. I am also outside Canada applicant and got my MR in 3 days after I received my AOR. Please clarify me on this.

It takes a couple days for us to logon to ECAS web page after receiving AOR. So, nothing wrong you are doing.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

OK, good to know there's a delay of a couple of days.
As to our schedule, I only know it from others applying from my native place. Our file should be transferred first to our local visa office. I have no idea what they do with it for such a long time. maybe round checks? then only after no less then 8 months you get your medicals. Looking at the CIC website's processing time table I see it takes even longer in other countries. sometimes more then a year. ::)

Hi Manju,

The link that you are looking at is complete processing time that includes medicals, eligibility, criminal, background checks etc. In fact medical results will directly be forwarded to Immigration Health Services (IHS), and then they will update it with our visa offices later. If you take a look at our tracking sheet, we have started getting MRs already.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi,

Hi jd1,

Congratulations on your AOR. I have updated track sheet. It's really difficult to predict Medical Requests. I believe, you may receive your MR in a week or 10 days time.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

I hope you're right on our specific case. I always check with other applicants in my locality, and they said - first wait until the file is transferred to local visa office, then send over police certification, then start nagging them to release MR quickly, though it will probably take little less then a year to get it...

I agree with Kavy Sandhu.

The physician will send the medical examination results to Immigration Health Services (IHS), who will create their report for the visa office. IHS will then forward the report to CPP-Ottawa. So, we don't have to worry about anything, the doctor office will be taking care of everything. This is what I was told by my representative.

@ Steffi80:
Congratulations on your AOR...I am very happy for you. Good luck for your MR and rest of the things. Looks like Atinsingh has already updated tracksheet.

@ zizu:
Heyyyy Congratulations buddy...you got AOR earlier than I predicted....good to see that you got AOR.
Do you already have the Police Clearance Certificate? OR you need to start the process now to get them? Anyway, even if you have the PCC readily, I think better to wait untill they ask you. One more thing, I don't know whether they will assign the same visa office we requested for. It will be cleared for us only when we get the next AOR from the visa office. Any way, I will try to inquire about it with somebody and come back to you.

Honestely I don't have any idea of fees refund....sorry.

@ vkas:
When was your Credit Card charged exactly? It takes some times about one month to receive AOR after fees en-cashed. If you have provided correct email address it should come on your email only, otherwise they will send it to your address by regular postal service which may take upto 3 weeks for you to get it.

Yes, AOR and file number is one and the same.

@ Emperor:
That's excellent news...Congratulations my friend. I have updated the tracksheet. All the best for the rest of your journey towards Canada PR.

@ AnL:
I think you can take medical examination at any CIC panel physician. You can find a doctor at your area from this below link.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx

Yes, please wait for a couple days for your kids to get well then take all your medicals.

@ mhey:
Our guys are getting medicals approx in one week after getting AORs. As you have received your AOR on Jan 17, you might receive your MR anytime now.

These are the tests you need to take.
1. X-Ray
2. Blood Test
3. Urine Test
4. Blood Pressure, and all routine check-up.

Some tips regarding medicals.
1. Take printed medical forms with you (just have two copies each just in case if needed)
2. Five photos per person (same size specifications that we used for our application to CIO)
3. Be at the hospital at least 15 to 20 min earlier than your scheduled time just to get your blood pressure normal.
4. Take your photo ID (driver's license or passport or state ID)
5. If you are using any medications, take it to the doctor.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

wow!! thank u so much for those information, now i would free my mind at least i have some tips to do....hoping and praying that my MR will be coming soon....

thank u so much Sarayu to answer some questions.....goodluck and godbless!!! God will make everything possible!!!! :) :) :)

Hi DIVINE FAVOR,

Hi All,

I am sorry if I am diverting the topic.. but some of you guys may get benefit from this. Please go through the link before my q..

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob485.asp

I just want to know one information regarding open work permit (PNP candidates).

Right now I have closed work permit (upto 2014 end) and my PR application in the process (through PNP-Ontario). Am I eligible to apply for open work permit based on the "Briding open work permit policy" which is in the 2012 Dec bulletins? Have you ever heard of this option? Has anybody got open work permit based on this category?

fyi, I am nominated by PNP-Ontario (International Student with Permanent Job offer).

Please advise...

Thanks,
csp

Hi csponline
If you have read the whole bulletin it clearly says that "To be eligible for a bridging open WP, the following parameters must be met:

The foreign national is currently in Canada;
They have valid status on a WP that is due to expire within 4 months;
They have received a positive eligibility decision on their PR application under one of the Economic Class programs above; and
They have made application for an open WP".

This means this option is only for those whose work permit is expiring in less than 4 months and they are still awaiting a final decision on their PR.

Thanks kavy.sandhu..
I might have missed that part..
but wondering why only for those candidates? why not everybody?

Well this is probably because there have been many cases in which an applicants visa had expired before a final decision on his PR application. In that case the only option earlier was to apply for a visitor visa within canada but the problem was that one didnt had the right to work. So it was a very difficult situation for those applicants. So to bridge that gap CIC has introduced this scheme so that applicants can live and work legally until a final decision is made on their application. Hope this clears your confusion !!!!!

here's a question for those who've been actively monitoring other forums/threads related to PNP...

I noticed in October tracking sheet, the data is either not updated or people have stopped updating - as very few medical requests dates are updated, and there is no update after medicals received .

I noticed the same pattern in July tracking sheet...

Is it only the lazyness of the participants not to update after medicals, or there really is a long delay after medicals?
