just wanted to share this and need some advice. Two of my kids were born in the states one in 2000 the other 2001. I was not living in the states at all, but stayed with my sister whilst on my maternity leave. I stayed less than six months all together for both children. My husband was there for less than a month with the first child, but was not in the states for the other. Any advice, feedback on this, as this is holding back the process :'(. See attached letter:

If you have lived in the USA for 6 months or more you will also require a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) certificate with fingerprints. This must be received at this office by: 06/18/2013

· If your documents are not in French or English, a certified (notarized) translation must be submitted with a copy of the original version.
· Original documents must be received by mail. Notarized documents are not acceptable in lieu of original documents.
