I only Applied for my GCMS note some few weeks ago.reg1988 said:hello i am new at this forum. The Global Case Management System (GCMS) is Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC’s) single, integrated and worldwide system used internally to process applications for citizenship and immigration servicesKittyKat said:Hi I'm new to the forum and I have quite a similar timeline to yours. Cant really say much about the situation since it an oversee Visa Office. When you got your AOR was it from your VO or CIO ?sgblues said:Hi, good to see you guys doing progress!
I'm still stuck at stage one.
My application is different from most here because I am not in Canada and its being processed by the VO in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
After the AOR on October 18th, nothing else has happened, they haven't asked me yet for the medicals or anything else.
I submitted an inquiry to the visa office to learn about my current status but the only reply I got was an automated one saying that if my application was within the normal processing time (12 months) I would not get any answers.
Does anyone else have experience with timing on PNP from abroad?
thanks for your reply. i have also applied for gcms last week, whenever i will got, i will share with you. i hope they finished eligibility with our files.Ojeola said:Well, since you said we have the same timeline, they started processing my application the same day they started yours. It also means there will be more delay and backlog for in-canada applicants as currently experienced .. Best of luckOjeola said:Hello Everyone,
Just want to keep the forum updated with the latest information i got, just check the CIC website today and i saw this
"Effective January 29, 2013, the Visa and Immigration Sections at the Canadian Embassy in Caracas and the Canadian Consulates General in Detroit and Seattle are closed. In addition, the Visa and Immigration Section at the Embassy in Washington, D.C. will have some services transferred to other offices.
Which automatically means that all Passport will be sent directly to Ottawa.
All the best to us ALL
Congratulations, it was finally great to hear a Good news from your end after many months of waiting. All the best on the rest of the process....sgblues said:Hi All:
Today I finally received the medicals request from the Buenos Aires VO. Looks like they are just slower or do things in a different order. Anyways, good to see some progress after months of silence.
Thanks, the weird thing is also today, but later I got an email from my VO asking for 2 photos for each family member and requesting the payment of the Right of Permanent Residence fees. Looks like they actually started working on my case.Ojeola said:Congratulations, it was finally great to hear a Good news from your end after many months of waiting.
