Revived to CIC : 9th June
City : Montreal
Still waiting to get AOR

hi everyone
I applied citizenship in 17th june 2015.I got letter for test and interview on 21st sept.I am living in canada from 2003.I never travelled outside canada.I am living in same address from 2003.But from last 4 to 5 years.I am self employed or cash worker.I filed my all taxes.I just want to know which document i can show cic officer for my employment or any other documents please give your advice thank u

Hi Daniel,

Congrats !!! Its pretty fast and very encouraging, you applied this June 17th 2015 and got the test and interview on 21st Sept.

Obviously, you should have applied it under new rules (4 / 6 Years). If so, its simply great news.

As far the doc's to carry for the interview, the interview notice specifies the list of ORIGINAL docs the following required - All Original current and expired passports, Landing Certificate, PR, SIN and Health cards.

Good to have - CRA's Tax Assessments for previous years, tenancy contract / mortgage, vehicle ownership, insurance, utility, phone bills etc. (Although its NOT required but no harm in carrying, better take excess than missing out anything).

Even though we applied before the new Rule came in to effect, are we also going to get So called Sevond Class Citizenship.

Do all the rules apply to Ours too??

Hi all,

Even though we applied before the new Rule came in to effect, are we also going to get So called Sevond Class Citizenship.

Do all the rules apply to Ours too??

I actually don't subscribe to the so-called second citizen status. The bottom line is that we both do have the SAME passport although our immigration route might be different. Once we are law abiding the bills like C51 shouldn't really matter.

Citizenship is all the same it just that they are categorised. - (Citizenship by BIRTH & BY Naturalisation)

I've downloaded the Discover Canada audiobook since I was having a hard time concentrating when reading the book, and started to practice using CIC's "How Canadian are You, eh?" app (before I was using every now and then the one by Richmond Library but there are many irrelevant questions which are not asked in the exam). I've consistently scored 18 and 19 out of 20, but now I started getting 20 out of 20.
