Sharing my experience. Family application of 3, 2 adult and 1 child. Application submitted 10th june.

At first child got AOR on 12th august. We tried to contact the CIC agents why we didn't receive AORs. They said wait you will get your ones. 21th august first adult got the AOR. 2nd adult is still awaiting the AOR. But, we see all of our ecas are active. Two got AOR as shown in the ecas. Other adult didn't receive AOR email yet according to ecas. And, no one received "In Process" yet.

I just got test invitation (September 16, 2015).
AOR received July 31, 2015.

Wahoo. It kind of a mix reaction know. Congratulations on getting your text Invitation. Since you will be on vacation during that period I suggest that you contact CIC to see if it can be researched although that might leave you with additional 2-3months on your application.

It seems "Transfer to local officer" no longer matters. You application is normally sent to local office once it has been shown to be "in process". Congratulations on the test invitation.

I agree with your first part that LOT no longer matters. But for second part I don't think so. If it is as you mentioned, all in process applicants should receive LOT line in their e case. Also, primary processing starts in sydney first then continues in local office. However I wish your openion is right.
By the way I am an April applicant in process status

Please note that "In process" does not mean that your test invitation will come in 1month - 2months. "In process" have to do about a comprehensive checks on the applicants, so the duration of the checks will depend on the Visa office work rate and also the history of the applicant. Some applicants got their application to "in process" with all their checks completed yet no test invite that because the work rate of their VO is pretty LOW.

I bet your VO is not Vancouver so that explains the differences..

I received a call from a very nice officer in NS this morning requesting clarification on the name I requested on my certificate. After a brief conversation she told me she was going to send my application to my local office immediately.

My ecas status is still received. It was great to hear that things are moving though. They received my app on June 10th.

Congrats. There is no LOT line in your e case
Thanks. I don't think newer applications will be getting the LOT line anymore. On e-CAS it is stated the following:

"Status of your application | IN PROCESS (A decision has not been made yet.)

Explanation | Application In Process
Your file has been sent to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) office closest to your home for processing.

The CIC office will complete the necessary steps for a citizenship judge to make a decision on your application. If additional information or documents are needed, the CIC office will contact you.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 54, you will have to write the citizenship test. The citizenship test will determine if you meet the language and knowledge requirements for citizenship. You will be notified by mail about the time and place of your test. Once you receive your acknowledgment letter and the booklet called Discover Canada by mail, you should begin to study for the test. Applicants who are 55 years old or older and minors are not required to take the citizenship test.

An interview with a citizenship judge may also be required. Should this be necessary, you will be notified by mail about the time and place of your interview."

Hope this clarifies.
