1. Your husband Work Permit will supersede limit on visitor's record, no need to leave by December.
2. You can wait until December and apply to extend your child visitors record if decision has not been made yet about child pr sponsorship application

Thanks. In case the PR decision is not made until then, would we still.have to apply for visa extension before Feb? As of now it seems that it will take about 12 more months to get the PR and we want to have the flexibility of visiting out of Canada for only a few days in case required while awaiting for PR. Also i have heard some people going to the border to get the stamp and then re-enter. Not sure the reason for that. Would we have to do something like that?

Did you apply for an extension or a new TRV? You need to apply for a new TRV.

I already applied for a new TRV and also renewed my medical here in usa. I submitted last month and am yet to receive a message. My question is, how long does it take since i submitted from USA ? Thank you

Hi guys,
Part 1-Can we extend the TRV from within Canada?
The website says we can but the processing time is over 170 days, does this mean that once you apply and get an acknowledgement we can consider the TRV is renewed?
Part 2- If we hold a TRV for USA then is it usual for people to go to and fro between USA and Canada?
Asking for parents who would like to stay with kids across US and Canada.

Hi, do you have an update on this? I have a similar situation and was wondering if you were able to apply for the visitor record for your parents, did it get approved and for how long? any implications or additional docs you need to provide? did you have to give a reason for the extension?

Partially depends on how long your parents have been visiting Canada and why they want to visit for a longer period.
