I hope your birth cert. matches with all the info you have on your passport & other PR docs. Then it shouldn't be a problem. CIC doesn't have time to bring forth your old application and find anomalies.

I am noticing that one I click on Validate, some pages are added to the pdf. However there is no barcode on them. Only some numbers and mostly blank space. From what I remember, there was barcode when I clicked on Validate on the PR apps for myself years ago. I am wondering if it is an issue with my pdf file.

Hello Everyone,

If someone could please answer the following questions for me:

I am sponsoring my parents and my wife is co-signing the application:

1. In the Fee Payment section, would it be sponsor 75 x 2 = $150 or just $75 (I am asking question as my wife is co-signing the application)

2. My wife was on maternity leave, so the address would be of my home or service Canada?

3. Does my wife's EI payment needs to be mentioned in section 19 (b) to (g)?

4. As this is the first time I am sponsoring my parents and I haven't sponsored anyone for immigration yet so does my parent's name need to be included in any part of the financial evaluation form. I have mentioned my name, my wife's name and my one dependents name in it though right now.

5. Out family size is "5" The minimum necessary income in Section 8 would be total of $64,791+$63,833+$62,023= $190,647 or what?

6. Some of the supporting documents are both in English and my native language, does it still need to be translated?

7. Do we just need to send the photocopies of the supporting documents without attestation/notarization? If NOT, why the instruction manual states:

Certified true copies

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.

I suppose, it's for the documents not in english, correct?


8. For employment history, please suggest what should i use between A & B:

Yes I got the same last night. I thought it was my computer. Interestingly, when I filled out the previous version of the form a few weeks ago it worked. I am thinking it's the form now someone else has experienced the same. They said I am going to try again this evening on a different computer.

I'm sorry to say this but you can't sponsor now (probably not till 2018).

What Rossei said.

You either meet LICO or you don't. CIC doesn't accept explanations. If you submit your application in 2016 it will be refused.

You'll have to wait until you meet LICO to apply. It looks like you meet LICO starting in 2014 (but not in 2012 or 2013). If that's the case, you will qualify to sponsor your mother in January 2018 once you have met LICO for three years in a row (2014, 2015, 2016) and can provide Notice of Assesments for each year.

As Rossei said, you can't sponsor your parents until Jan 2018. It doesn't matter if you were single in 2012, when you apply for your parents, family size is based on your martial status at the time of application submittal. You must use the family size at the time of application for all 3 previous taxation years, regardless if you were single for any of the 3 taxation years.

Seems alright although it's little confusing having 2 simultaneous jobs at same time. If it's mot clear in any of the forms that your BIL has been doing 2 jobs; you can add an explanation letter just to clarify.

Not sure but it's not a big deal. I think it's better to put employer's number or Service Canada no. Mat leave means she is still employed.

NOA has different line codes for different things and I don't know all of them. They don't show up in your NOA if it's not used. For example, 16(e) applies to your sister and it should be on her NOA. If neither your sister nor bro-in-law received any benefits/allowance from the Govt, most of the fields would be nil. It's better for them to fill these out, not you.

Yes, your father should sign the first field and your mother should sign the second one.

My parents were married in 1980s and they don't have a marriage certificate .Although they have joint bank accounts in India and Also Passport mentioning their spousal information.

Also they don't have a birth certificate (both of them were born in 1956) in INDIA.

What are the options in that case, can they attach an affidavit of declaration with the application package (at least for marriage cert.)

Any help and information in this regard will be immensely appreciated.

Regarding birth certificate of your parents...you dont need it. You need birth certificate for yourself showing you are related to your parents.
